Hi. Recently picked up a 2024 Outer Banks which included co-pilot 360 & remote start. Looking to add shock sensor to the existing alarm system...does this mean I may already be equipped with the Perimeter Plus module (KN1Z19A361A)and just a matter of enabling it somehow? Read through forum and could find a clear answer.

Thanks!

Do you have the window sticker? If this is the code for that option, it may be there. Also, a call to your sales person could check the vehicles invoice, based off of the VIN.

Remote start is available via two different systems. The FordPass app offers remote start using the vehicle's telematics modem. The app sends a command to start the engine over whatever cell provider's data network Ford uses. Remote start is also available via the fob if your vehicle is equipped with an appropriate remote-start receiver. If you don't see a remote start button on your key fob then your vehicle was not equipped from the factory with a remote-start receiver; that would mean the only remote start option for you is the FordPass app.

You can add remote start via key fob by installing the perimeter plus alarm system. My post at this link describes how I installed the system in my Badlands. After installing the perimeter plus system you get a shock sensor and remote start via key fob. To remote start via key fob you press (on your fob) lock > unlock > lock in that order.

I installed the Perimeter Plus a few months ago and mine already had the remote start. The Perimeter Plus bridges the OBDII connector so it should be easy to look under the dash and see if you already have one. I never use the remote start so have no idea if it works or not.

Here part of the window sticker. KN1Z19A361A is the part # to the perimeter plus module I got off Ford’s accessories page. I may have to call. Thanks.

YES GREAT TUTORIAL Mark, saved as a bookmark!!! I did read it before starting a new post. Yes, I already have remote start, works great via FOB and the App. My question is: could I already have the Perimeter Plus module installed, and just a matter of enabling the shock sensor feature? Read I may have to turn the car on/off 5x or use ForScan If I knew where to look I’d definitely check. I have a feeling the Perimeter Plus is a different module I have to add.

Thanks for letting me know where to look. After further research I think I know how I may look like now.

I don't see it on the window sticker.

If you take a look at the 2024 Bronco Sport order guide (attached) you'll see that "Perimeter Alarm" is standard on all trim levels. This strongly implies to me that "Perimeter Alarm" is the window-sticker term Ford uses to identify the basic "Anti-theft Alarm," as described in your owner's manual. Given there is no mention of one in the owner's manual, I think it's logical to assume the basic anti-theft alarm does not incorporate a shock sensor.
