Hello all,

We had ford tech come to the house and reprogram in the solenoid strategy code BUT still leaving issues he says. The vehicle still doesn't know which position it is in, the Park light on the knob keeps flashing and alarming on the dashboard. Any position we put it in it flashes on the knob as well as the dashboard.

Anyone have any ideas of what we might have overlooked or had similar experience?

Ford tech said before we left is that whatever we figure out it will run...

Thanks
A few folks have reported strange behavior with the shift knob assembly. Problem went away after replacing it.

Oh great! I'll search that keyword on this forum and review. Thanks for the heads-up!

Late to the party but this guy tears down the whole transmission and is very detailed. Mentions torque specs on a few spots.

My question to you is, where are the solenoids located in relation to the drivers seat? Are they just on the other side of the firewall near gas pedal by chance? I have this electrical clicking noise that happens when my transmission shifts , it went away over the winter but now it’s back and driving me insane and I have a feeling one of my solenoids are glitching out
