Hello. I just installed the FRL 1.75” lift on my Badlands myself. I did it right as far as I know. No strut rattle, everything tightened down, etc.. Very happy with it aside from one issue.

Went to get an alignment. The techs said they couldn’t get the camber properly aligned and was an issue they’re having with all broncos, big and small, lifted and stock. I had not heard of this before. What’s the solution?

I know I’m setting y’all up to say uninstall the kit, but there is no way there isn’t another answer.

I suspect I should head to a dedicated Ford dealership and/or buy camber bolts(?) I am handy with cars but don’t know much about the nuances of Ford suspension specifically.

I believe HRG and Flatout Suspension have camber bolt replacements. Not sure how different they are or why they offer them honestly.

I used ReadyLift which does not offer camber bolts and had no issues so not sure what the difference would be.

I'd try another shop. This is the first I've heard where you can't align a Bronco big or small with a lift.

Depending on how a lift is achieved, suspension geometry on some vehicles can change enough that stock adjustment mechanisms no longer provide enough movement to allow the suspension components to align within specs. Camber bolts add a measure of camber adjustment.

Thanks for the video. I still only understand so much. I get the geometry changes and things change. I just still don’t understand the actual “how” the bolt help change that. I saw the knuckle move but I don’t fully comprehend it all.
But thank you for always being a staple of knowledge for the rest of us here.

No worries. The image below is cropped from the tech report OP posted:

Ford Bronco Sport Lift and Camber — Help please :) CamberAdjustment

The red arrow points to where the camber adjustment bolt goes. Turning the camber bolt forces the wheel assembly to rotate around the bolt underneath it, resulting in a change in wheel camber. The orange arrow points to a pictogram illustrating wheel camber, which is the vertical angle of the wheel as seen from in front or behind.

The image below shows a car with the wheel camber exaggerated for looks--you wouldn't enjoy driving a car like this!

Your suspension is designed to keep the maximum amount of tread on the road throughout the range of suspension travel. Incorrect camber results in impaired handling, and uneven tire wear.

Most competent shops understand exactly what Mark is talking about. Saying they can’t be aligned is showing their ignorance or lack of experience. People have been jacking these up or lowering others since the 70’s and adjusting the suspension geometry accordingly.
