I have a 23 BL as well and there was a credit for the hotspot delete. Who wants one anyway? Why would I pay for service to my auto when my wife and I both have hotspots on our phones?
Ride around with a bunch of teenagers… just kidding but here are some reasons others love vehicle provided hotspots …

1. With a paid data plan, your vehicle's available built-in Wi-Fi Hotspot can allow passengers to use up to xx (varies by AT&T Plan) devices to stream movies, download games, surf the web, post on social media and video chat, all while on the go.

2. Using the vehicles AT&T Hotspot means your passengers aren’t using your phones Hotspot (so is less trouble for you).

3. The AT&T Hotspot depending on where you are driving may offer superior data service vs. having non AT&T Service on your phone (e.g. if your phone service is provided by Consumer Cellular, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.).

As you can see in the attached, the window sticker on 23 BL says -$25 and it doesn't say anything about at&t because at&t isn't available in Canada. It just says 4G LTE.

This may be a stupid question but does a BS have to have wifi hotspot to get BS updates through home wifi when garaged?

@rocks the Bronco Sports WiFi hotspot (if equipped and enabled) is not used to get the BS updates when you are connected through your home’s WiFi.

AT&T 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot uses a separate modem unrelated to the modem used for FordPass Connect.

When Ford deleted the AT&T 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot modem, there was no impact to FordPass Connect. See this article for more information:

Hot spot delete on my sticker..
See post #31 … those are typical uses for the 4G LTE Hotspot which might not be needed for you so deleted on your vehicle might be fine

I know there have been several threads but here is a bit of proof.

Its a load of crap that we buy the most expensive BS with all the packages and ford deletes features. My 21 OB had Wi-Fi but my 24 BL does not. I get the chip shortage during the pandemic, but it is over. I work in the automation world were chips are used in PLC, Boards and almost everything. I know this for a fact. Ford is just trying to save money.... Mine show it has a modem with a serial number, it has Ford Pass Connect because I can start it with my cell phone which means it users cell phone bandas thuis it should have Wi-Fi. It is completely deceptive especially when its stated in the specsa and when you even look on dealer websites, it's in the description on the BS.
Whether or not I use it doesn't matter- It is what I paid for and I should have it.
Screen shots show Ford and AT&T confirming it has it but when you go to the next step to activate trial it says you don't have it and to call FORD. Ford has been not help. It has been nothing short of deceptive practices. @Ford . If ford or AT&T is watching this thread please help us out. I have been a loyal customer and this is my second Bronco Sport.:thumbsdown: No credit was given- they should replace or put ion feature complimentary. es I have called you Ford and AT&T. You both have been no help.

I’ve had the same issue. This my first BSBL. I traded my ‘21 MME First Edition which had a hotspot. When I ordered my ‘24 BSBL in August, the order form had it listed too. At one point the sales guy sent me the “mulrony”. I didn’t notice that it missing. When the car arrived in December it missing. Also missing was folding headrests for the back but I knew about that in advance. Another silly ass thing that was missing is the plastic pen/cil holder from under the console armrest. Parts wants $7+ for the part. I’ve been a big supporter of Farley since he took over but you are right. This a fraud on us the customer. Every car I’ve own since 2006 (Porsche,2 Audis) had a hotspot. Just bad juju!

@Martinjv71 Engineers do tend to state technical facts but I can assure you I’m not defending Ford nor have I ever worked for Ford (although I did develop electronics for GM).

My ‘22 Badlands was delivered with at least 6 items missing, and almost all were shown on various Ford websites, literature and documents. None were on the vehicles window sticker and I was able to get the dealership to add just one missing item under warranty for $0.

The question is, did your window sticker state:
4G LTE WIFI HOTSPOT REMOVAL - 20.00

Or did the window sticker state:
FORDPASS™ CONNECT 4GWI-FI HOTSPOT TELEMATICS MODEM

Or did the window sticker not mention HOTSPOT at all.

If your window sticker stated the 4GWI-FI HOTSPOT TELEMATICS MODEM was included then your case seems pretty strong to me.
I have a ‘21 OBX it has B&O sound system, wireless charging, but NO HOMELINK GARAGE OPENER. Which I believe was all in one package together. By the time I realized it wasn’t there it seemed like a waste even telling anyone.

Just adding to how you mentioned delete items. But I have my pen holder in center console!! ?

That’s interesting … and there are several posts from ‘21 owners that removed their factory drivers side sun visor (that didn’t have homelink buttons) and installed a visor with the homelink buttons … in case you ever are interested in doing that.

Yeah I saw a few threads and walk through of people using a Kia Homelink I believe. That add on will definitely have to wait, for now I have no problem pushing my own garage door opener haha

I think there are also posts taking the visor from a wrecked (salvaged) BS … low cost option.

I have an Escape which did not come with homelink. The easy solution that I did was to get a Mazda electronic dimming mirror that came with homelink. I installed it myself and it worked great. I only got the Mazda mirror because it was the same one used in the Escape but cheaper through Mazda than getting the same one from Ford. The mirror also included temperature and direction which were nice additions.

I went with Kia's because of the price: IIRC, it was around $10.
