I can't help with the tire size question but I love that two door Bronco in the pic. :)

I almost traded for that two door , I needed 5000 better price. I passed for now .

I was looking at around $60K out the door.

The answer is yes, but they may rub off road depending on the true measurement of the tire. 245/65R17 seems to be accepted as the largest common maximum without trimming plastic, dealing with rubbing at extremes, or any other concerns as far as I've seen.
You can use willtheyfit.com to compare sizes. As a disclaimer, this is based on what I've read and not my own experience, but I'm planning on 245/65r17 when the time comes.

Be careful of replies from those of us with Badlands or First Editions. I believe ours have 1" more lift than yours does. I was looking at a site recently, and they said I need the 1.5" lift to put those 235/70R17s on.

I like the higher aspect ratio because it means more cushion between you and the rocks you're driving over. My friend upgraded his GMC 1500 from 15" wheels to 20" wheels, and it rides much rougher off road.
