The only thing I would add to this is you CAN strip the threads if install this thing with a crescent wrench! Ford specifies 20 ft/lbs torque for the drain plug--you should use the same to install this device.

FYI for everyone. The 20 ft/lb is correct for the 2.0L but the 1.5L is 29 ft/lb. Mine leaked at 20 ft/lb.

For the 1.5L :

Viscosity:	Above -20 F .5W-20 - To improve cold start in extreme climates where the ambient temperature is -22 F (-30 C) or below use 0W-20 oil meeting WSS-M2C962-A1.
Capacity:	FM 8/3/22, With filter 6.7 quarts. After refill check oil level.
Capacity:	With filter 5.4 quarts. After refill check oil level.
Torque:	Oil Drain Plug...29 ft/lbs
