I have automatic seat. I am not sure if it has memory settings. My q is it possible that seat can move when u turn it off?I swear it’s haunted and I am going crazy lol

The seat moves backwards before you exit the car to allow easy entry in and out of the vehicle. You can turn this feature off.
(of course Hobbits are known to grow special ‘shrooms, so a different answer is not out of the question.

It IS haunted, and you are not going crazy.
Like the memory seats, wish they wouldn't auto move, guess it's time to re-RTFM.

how do u stop that function?. This car is extremely automatic lol. It’s cool but drives me crazy

Ha ha, I did reread the manual, ironically it didn't help, had to play with the car itself. Read on.
The memory seat function (p152 in manual) is separate and apart from the feature that moves your seat when you turn ignition on or off.
If you want to turn OFF the haunted seats, push the SETTINGS button on the Sync screen, then push VEHICLE selection, and find EASY ENTRY/EXIT. You can toggle that on and off.
For some reason I didn't notice the easy entry moving my seat until I set the memory seats, so I thought the 2 features operated in tandem.
After I turned easy entry OFF, I played with the memory function and of course it works fine.
Looking in the manual index, it makes no mention of easy entry exit. Go figure.
EDIT: still can't find anything in printed owners manual. However, I opened FordPass app, chose HELP, and then typed 'easy entry' into search box. Here is the 2nd option (see attached screen shot). Even this is short on help, it says you can turn this feature (easy on) on and off via screen displays, but doesn't say which displays or how to get there.

In this case it was moot: there is nothing in the manual about the setting for easy entry/exit. There is a reference to the feature in another section of the manual, but nothing about where to change the setting.

lol I did cuz I am not use to a high tech car. 1997 geo tracker bare bones to a 2022 with all the bells and whistles. I had a choice to not go as high tech but I didn’t want cords all over
