I sort of like that. Will it fit the outer banks steering wheel the same?

I think so. Worth a shot for $14. If it doesn't just return it.

Small things I've done (not all today):
  1. Got a VIN etching kit and etched all the glass. VIN Etching from the dealer is a scam because it's grossly overpriced, and some places may offer it for free in your community (local police departments, AAA, etc.) either continuously or in pop-up events). The kit I bought was $16 to have someone make the stencil/templates for me to the specific VIN and include the supplies (etching bottle, glove, etc.)...
(I would note that, depending on your state, they may be required to offer a discount for VIN etching, and in others, insurers often choose to offer it. Check with your insurer. At least in NY State, GEICO does not offer a discount for VIN etching).
  2. Got a WeBoost Drive Reach cell phone booster and mounted the inside antenna on my dash behind my phone mount and the outside antenna on the roof near the passenger side rear door (booster itself below the passenger seat). I'll probably move the outside antenna to mount further back by tucking it in the headliner to the rear hatch and then on the roof in the back (for better performance and to be out of the way of the roof racks).
It can't make up for the absence of any signal, but the amp of power to amplify vastly reduces the number of dead zones and dropped calls.
(I bought a prior 4G booster in 2014 [when they still branded as Wilson Electronics] and that's still working great in another vehicle. When the power supply went 6 years into ownership, without question or proof of purchase when I called them about it, they offered to mail a new one free of charge.)
  3. I got a Spigen Magsafe charger holder (Magsafe puck from Apple sold separately) and mounted it left of the Sync 3 screen. This allows me to use Waze in Carplay with the main map and next direction on the Sync 3 screen, and on my iPhone screen to display the list of directions (or the list of upcoming alerts - traffic, animal on road, police reported, etc.).
I'm on the fence about this one - the Magsafe puck is not that strong as a car mount. I definitely wouldn't recommend a first party Apple charging puck if you offroad because a sufficient pothole or jostle can cause the phone to fall.
(Third party "Magsafe compatible" mounts are available with a far stronger hold, but non-certified chargers will only charge an iPhone at 7.5w. Even if the charger has a higher wattage listed, the iPhone will only draw a 7.5w charge rate max. Using a first party puck in a holder or buying the $100 Belkin vent clip mount is the only way to get 15W Magsafe charging in a car mount at this point).
  4. Threw in misc accessories:
    1. Aluminum Brake/Gas pedals - these are nice, missed having these (had them in a prior vehicle). Easy enough to install with a little soap and water.
    2. Tow Hitch - easy enough to install. Bit expensive but looks nice on the back.
    3. Covers for the rearview heater wire base - cheap enough and gives some piece of mind that the connection is less likely to be damaged by something brushing up against it.
    4. Hood Struts - nice little convenience if a bit pricy. Easy enough to install. Had to tighten the second one after initial installation because it dropped out of the hood (but was fine on the bottom mount). Don't want to overkill it but important that it's secure.
    5. Sunshade - less expensive than the one with the Bronco branding, fits like a glove (minus the radar detector I have making it a little off the windshield in the middle, but that's not on the product). A bit bulkier than the ones that fold like an accordion however.
    6. Trunk net - convenient for little stops so everything isn't rolling around the cargo area, and easily re-attached or attached when I do or don't need it at a given moment.
    7. Bronco Cupholder non-slip coaster - these look nice, but not sure I'd recommend. They are a bit too small to fully line the bottom so they have a tendency to turn slightly over time. There's several of these on Amazon (probably same factory, different sellers/brands) and there's a persistent complaint in reviews on different listings that they're too small.

Yes the Bronco cup liners I bagged on Amazon were a bit small also.

Spent time over the weekend at the Northwest Bronco Roundup. Almost 300 Broncos from 1966-2023 ended up in this pic. Or as I call it, spot the Sport. That's the Pacific out there in the background of the photo. I didn't take this pic but it is the best view of the field.
We had the one and only Sport in 2022. I think there were 4 Sports total that attended this year. I heard the only other Badlands took too large of a drop off a tall dune and crunched the front pretty badly. The other Sports stayed off the sand. There were probably a dozen 6G Broncos last year, this year there were over 100. Probably 125. Significant increase, I guess Ford has really started building in earnest.

Excellent photos. Haven't spotted the Sport yet though.

If you're still looking, it's mine, like the avatar photo. Near dead center of the 1st pic, 4th row. Almost hidden in the 2nd, certainly one of if not the shortest ride out there.

Is that a product, or you cut down one of the insert trays?

Had a vent phone mount from the previous car, but didn’t like how it pulled the vent down and covered it on the BS.
So, while rummaging around in the garage, found some unused little IKEA bracket.

so, I trimmed it at an angle so it would align with the oh so popular “behind the screen” console. Attached it to said console, then used the vent clip holder to attach to the bracket.

It sits a bit high, or at least higher than I’m used to. But, it doesn’t interfere with my line of sight onto the road ahead.

Inventive!
