Youre joking. The was GM’s fix?Same issue on my new BS. Had it on my Chevy Colorado. GM injected spray foam to correct it.
Dumb question but where do you spray it?Youre joking. The was GM’s fix?
that’s sounds like something I would do!
add OK, WY, UT, SD to that and it’s very limited stretches of road.Dumb question but where do you spray it?
Also to those saying drive slower than 75 or 80...I believe both Texas and Montana have speed limits of 80-85...which generally means 90 here in TX
Where did they inject the spray foam under the whole hood or part?Same issue on my new BS. Had it on my Chevy Colorado. GM injected spray foam to correct it.
Thank you , I have had this idea for a long time . I just needed someone to confirm this.. It makes sense because you are filling the voids where the air is being trapped. This will give it some needed stability as well..... thank for this infoSame issue on my new BS. Had it on my Chevy Colorado. GM injected spray foam to correct it.
Before spraying any type of foam, I'd take the service manager for a ride to demonstrate the issue, then have them correct it.Thank you , I have had this idea for a long time . Remove the wind deflectorDoes anyone else see a hood lift and tremble once they are at highway speeds? I recently did a long run across Montana and after a few hours of 80 mph this movement became pretty annoying! I took it to the dealer and was told this is not an issue they have seen and so no fix for it.
i also drive 80-85 mph all day long with no hood vibrating. Take off the stupid deflectorI drive 85-90 all the time and my hood is solid (NO DEFLECTOR)
That and does your hood have the two side pieces of rubber weatherstripping? It's one of the many missing parts that Ford deems unimportant. I added them on mine but I never do 80 so I'm not sure if it might help with the issue. Worth a try though.Hood struts reduced the vibration. It didn't completely get rid of it.
It is not air being trapped. There is no bond between skin and under hood skin bracingThank you , I have had this idea for a long time . I just needed someone to confirm this.. I have done some research and this seems to be a possible fix.
I’ve had two bronco sports with deflectors and two without. One with and one without was a 1.5L and one with and one without was a 2.0L. They all vibrated, some closer to 70+ and some closer to 85+.Remove the wind deflector
