Question about the above photo for you all. I posted this on one of the Sport Facebook groups to discuss hauling capability, but I was getting absolutely chastised for it. Folks saying this much weight is unsafe, that I should have rented a trailer, that I'm going to ruin my Badlands etc. I took it down since the discussion wasn't constructive, but I'd like to know if the concerns were warranted.Made it do truck stuff since I don't have a truck. ?
A quick Google search has the payload capacity at 1163 pounds. I checked the door sticker before loading and it was a similar number, though I can't recall if it was exact without looking. These blocks weigh 650 pounds total, meaning 55% of the payload capacity is on the rear axle. A little more than half, with me in the front seat at 125 pounds. There was no visible suspension sag after loading, I have brand new KO2s with full tread, and it didn't seem to handle differently at 35 mph while I drove 2 miles home. I did go extra slow, accelerated carefully, and avoided bumps to make sure the load didn't shift and bang up the interior.
I have more landscaping projects to do and planned on hauling the same amount in the future (but no more). Was this actually dangerous, or is social media just doing what it typically does? It seems no different to me than having 3 average adults in the back seat.

I do not believe you or your vehicle were at any risk, some people just don't have an understanding of load capacity, my only concern would be for the spare tire cover they are on top of, this being because when I set heavy objects in the back of my bb I have noticed it tends to flex dramatically, though this may be different for you with how your vehicle was built and configured from the factory
What is the plastic trim piece, I can't quite tellAbout to install the last two missing pieces of the puzzle er, I mean my Bronco Sport.
It's the passenger side under dash kick panel. Covers and quiets the fan motor housing. The other side has padded insulation for sound absorption.

It's the Rola roof basket on amazon. Honestly it's been really solid and functional for the price, think I paid $130. Eventually going to be upgrading to the yukka roof rack but one pricey mod at a time. I really like how this sits with the stealth bars (also amazon)
No issue here. Especially for 2 miles. I saw your post last night and the comments were laughable. Those people are clueless. I’ve had about that same amount of weight in mine last year getting sand during hurricanes.
Question. Has anyone put 20 inch tires on their BS BB? If yes then which ones? I am going to have my car lifted by 1.5. Already have 18 inch tires on it. Looking for 20 inch ones which would be aggressive in look but can also be used on paved roads.

I will never understand why people buy a sport utility vehicle and then are too afraid to actually use it. Drove it 30 mins to work this morning like normal. Nothing broken and not even a scratch in the cargo area. It's a Badlands with an upgraded suspension...the comments were driving me up a wall.
