I'd love it a lot more with the 2.0L.

I agree. Ford should make the 2.0L an option for all trim grades and include the liquid cooled clutches.
Sad to say but I have little confidence in the 1.5L. A bit of buyer's remorse here but we'll see what happens. Fortunately, my OBX is a garage queen and only will do maybe 4k-5k including a yearly 1500 mile trip with my fingers crossed.

They do...it's called the badlands. Originally also the first edition.
He posted " make the 2.0L an option for ALL trim grades and include the liquid cooled clutches. "

Yep...I stated the sarcastic obvious. It's called the Badlands package. Grinds my ass how many people want every option at their price point. Want a 2.0? Ford offers it. Called the Badlands trim.
I want to eat ice cream while cutting to my 20 year old collegiate body? folks need a dose of reality. Ford has a great lineup with the sport assortment. It's been this way for decades across all manufacturers. Want more, choose the trim line. The 1.5 is a solid powerplant. I test drove several and felt it served every need I have the dealer talked me into the 2.0. I just put 2000+ miles ripping the black hills including some basic off roading. Get a badlands if you need the 2.0 a d cooling how complicated is it?

Buyers like myself have no need for a Badlands model. I didn't want to pay thousands more for a vehicle that has a much stiffer ride and a true 4x4 when I won't even ride on a dirt road or have snow. The 2.0L is a much better engine but at the extra cost and ride quality of the Badlands doesn't work for many.

Just drove it over 2000.miles...the suspension is anything but stiff. Rode smooth as can be. I've driven full size trucks and an old school '79 bronco. I've had two challengers...the badlands is a sweet spot. To each their own, just tired of everyone thinking Ford should offer every option on every trim to meet "snowflake" needs. I want the coyote motor with Raptor accessories and off-road features for $28K...??? Sorry Ford would collapse with the everyone has their own needs business model. Consumers make choices

I guess the ride is subjective. I test drove a Badlands and found the ride too stiff for me but that's me. Many reviewers like Edmunds for the Badlands stated the ride is stiff too.
Edmunds
"For instance, the Badlands suspension that's been tuned for dirt and rocks often gives a bumpy ride over various road surfaces."
For me, the perfect BS is an Outer Banks with a 2.0L option.?

Well said, it's all subjective. Read the forum, Ford would have 8.37 million trims if everyone got their wish. I decked my badlands out my way. Bare bones. Oversized tires and tow was my only addition. Didn't want the frills. Maybe I prefer a off-road suspension?? I've spent most of my life driving a truck so...maybe?
