Has anybody run into their drive door locking by itself? I have noticed ours will randomly lock with the key still in the vehicle, but all of the other doors will still be unlocked. It desnt do it everytime, just when you least expect it. It has sat overnight with the key in it and has remained unlocked, but we can go to a family members house, leave the key in it, and it will be locked after being inside for 30 minutes. Its aggravating because I have to wait for my wife to unlock the door when she gets to the car lol

I have also had this issue and can't seem to figure out why it is happening. I reset the Synce 3 system and disabled the intelligent lock system but this did not help.

Try switching between one- and two-stage unlock. In two-stage mode just the driver's door unlocks when you press the unlock button on the fob; you have to press the button twice to unlock all the doors. In one-stage mode a single press of the button unlocks all the doors. To switch modes press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the fob at the same time until the exterior lights flash. The flash indicates a change in mode. Keep changing modes until you get the mode you want.

After pulling my hair out for a month trying to figure out the issue was, I figured out the problem was me! As I opened up the door, I used my knuckle to push open the door as I pulled the handle, and that caused the door lock to push in. Once I figured that out and was aware of it, obviously it had not happened since ?

Did you ever get this fixed? I have the exact same issue. It is mostly the drivers side front door. I can usually open the car by going to a different door and reaching to unlock or using my app. But the last time my keys were in the vehicle, my phone was in the vehicle and all the doors locked. I went to use the app on my apple watch and it just so happened that the app had updated and locked me out of my account because I had not accepted the new terms and conditions on my phone. I had to call my wife and have her drive my spare key to me from 20 minutes away. It was just a slight annoyance, now it is turning into a serious annoyance and a possible safety concern.

I narrowed it down to operator error for us. It was how I was opening the door that was causing it to lock. I would pull the handle and then push the door open with my knuckles, which would push the lock to the lock position. Once I realized this I haven’t had any more issues.

I have tried to see if that was the case, that was my supposition (I have gorilla hands) but I haven’t been able to replicate my ham fisted door opening when I’m consciously trying to do it. I will try again since that was my best idea as to why it’s happening and you’ve had/fixed the issue yourself. Thank you!

yea I’ve got gorilla hands myself! It was very aggravated for about a month because the door would only lock when I drove it. And then I figured it out that it was the Neanderthal driving it that was causing the problem!
