I came onto the forum tonight to inquire about this exact problem. I live where the sun shines, and I wash my Bronco, so yes, I have noticed the glare and been nearly blinded by it. I was wondering if there is a matte finish peel and stick vinyl available. I could cut a section of this to match the rearward sloping portion of the hood bumps. A flat black sheet would work, but would be much less attractive, like a duct-tape fix.
Does anyone know of a source for this type of product?

I would be interested also as we have the glare problem at times.

My neighbor down the street (highway patrolman) told me glare off of a rear window can be caused/increased by the darkness of window tint as well.

Hey, this is pretty clever. Scientist say it would be impossible to land a human on the sun because it's too hot, but what if they landed at night?
Clever. And if it got too hot on earth, we could send a long hose to the sun and spray it down to it cool off.

Driving a BS has made me smart.

Thinking about it more, the only glare I ever get is reflections from some SUV's back window and that can be blinding.

Same problem on my Badlands. Only happens here in the AZ summer with mid afternoon sun angles. If this really bugs me this summer, I'll go to a detail shop to see if I can have the hood bumps taped with a flat black vinyl covering...

I have an Oxford White and experience the glare too. It's quite the design flaw. The hood ridges look cool but I think Ford should've noticed this problem. I agree with Texas Matt: Some kind of matte film seems like a simple solution.

Oxford white, we get the glare, also. Bothers my wife very much, I’m okay as long as I’m wearing sunglasses.

Yes, this has been a common complaint. Some have done decals and stripes to varying degrees of effect. On my prior Sports, I did the hood scoop (and my wife wish I chose to do it on my current Sport).

I have been on this forum for over two years and yours is the first with the Areoskin II and the scoop. Many have commented and theorized if it would look good. The answer is no it does not look good … it looks fucking awesome!
