I recently purchase an MBRP exhaust system for my BS Badlands. I had an issue with the system. I experience a whistle and high RPM (approx. 4200+), I originally thought I didn't install it correctly and the exhaust was whistling by one of the clamps that I didn't tighten tight enough. So no big deal, I wanted a more permanent installation anyway so I had a local shop weld the system up. Turns out it wasn't a miss installation. I still had the whistle at high RPM. I contacted MBRP and they were unsure and said they haven't had this issue with this system. They thought the issue might have been coming from the rear y pipe in the system. Took the car back to the exhaust shop and we did some investigating. While the rear y pipe internally was terribly assembled, it was not the cause of the issue. It was actually the anti-drone tube. The exhaust was whistling by and causing the high pitch whistle. Removed the drone tube and welded a straight pipe in and the problem was gone. Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up before ordering this system.

Here is video of the whistle:

I really like the looks of this system, and was going to order one for my '23 OBX. Then our brilliant New York Governor came out with some new law regarding noisy exhausts. Don't know all the details yet, but my purchase is on hold for now.

Thanks for the feedback. Guess I gotta cross this one off my list. I've always been partial to Borla, but I don't like that their solution removes the resonator. The resonator is the best guardian against low rpm drone. Will probably end up going with the Magnaflow.
