I am thinking about lifting my Bronco Sport and going with larger tires. For those who have done this, what tires size did you go with a what has the impact been to your mpg?

235/70/17 no lift , not needed. Rides as stock but taller. No gas change.

That looks awesome. When it comes to the tire sizes and so forth, there are so many variables. I’ve looked them up, but would you say that with that tire size it would ride “taller”…equivalent to a 2” lift but not changing the tire size. Maybe a better way of asking is “how much taller does it ride”?
Once again…looks awesome!

I have the 1.5 inch HRG lift and 245/65/17 A/T tires installed. I lost about 1.5 mpg on the Badlands. I average low 24's when I drive under 65, and go down to about 23 at 80 mph. (Although I had an amazing tailwind on my last road trip and averaged 28.5 going 82 mph. That was awesome!)

Right now I have the big bend, stock tires and no lift. I drive about 50 miles to and from work each day, but am getting 33.5 mpg. So I am cautious to change too much.

Don’t waste your time with a lift. Just go with Falken Wildpeak 235/65 17r AT tires they are the lightest @ 31.1 lbs you will not lose any mpg and they are quiet. Your BF Ko2s and Toyo open country tires are at 37-38 lbs which will change your mpg and acceleration. Believe me I have had then all.

I currently have the standard 225/65 tires that can. If I go with the Falken 235/65 tires…that only has it riding about 0.5” higher (if I did my math right). Is that correct or am I missing something?

A little over 2 inch , with a 1 1/4 factory lift on a first edition and badlands comes with different springs and shocks.

You’re only gaining 1/2 the difference in diameter from your original tire to the new tire. To gain 2in you’d have to increase your tire by 4in in diameter.

Ok. I’ve done my research and the Falken tire looks great, but one quick question for you. What is the noise level going to be like for this AT tire versus the Continental ProContact all season true I’ve been driving? You mentioned the Falken is quiet, but will it be noticeably louder than my current all season standard tire that came with the Bronco Sport? Im in my car 2-3 hours every day on paved roads and highway…so I would like it to look tough, but in all reality 99% of my driving will be on road and comfort is a thing.
Any advise?

It may be a little louder than what you have, but they are pretty quiet. My wife has them on her BS. You won’t notice them after a day if you notice them at all.

We have the HRG Lift and Nitto Nomad Grapplers. We averaged 25.4 on our last trip to the bay area.
This vehicle and these tires have been amazing and totally blew my mind over this crazy winter. Very impressed in the snow...
