Apparently no one at Ford marketing told the accessories team about the new online points redemption. I called the accessories team today and the rep had no idea this was supposed to launch today. He even said he had other chats asking about today but they know nothing. What a mess.

Disappointed, I guess I may actually have to go into the dealer and use my FP points.

After spending way too much time talking to customer service reps, I finally got some information. The Ford Pass rewards rep said the launch has been delayed to mid-February. No new date at this point. I gave up and ordered (and overpaid) through the dealer.

Well … see my earlier post about ordering parts from a discounted online Ford parts internet store. in many cases even with shipping cost it will be 60% of your dealerships cost. Pays to shop around.

you can also check with your local dealership if they will price match to the lowest price (including shipping) you see on any of the online Ford parts internet stores.

Yes great suggestion. I also ordered some parts from parts.ford.com to ship to dealer with $20 off and free shipping. The dealer prices are better on parts.ford.com than ordering in person. They wouldn’t price match to their own online price. Go figure.

Looks like you can now redeem points on the web. Bad news is you can’t combine with the monthly discount code, so no real advantage other than you don’t have to call your local dealer.

Don't feel bad guys! I picked up my '23 OBX on January 11. I have no points in my account. The way I understand it, I won't get any points. That's because I don't have an I phone to get the apt I need. So now either I buy a new phone for hundreds of dollars or forget the points.

Mike, I know you are calendar challenged but even my 74 year old mom has a smart phone. She doesn't really understand much about it but she has it.

That isn't the point. Right now, I have a flip phone. I only have it to use on Saturdays when I deliver flowers part time. The rest of the time I don't even turn it on. Now a newer phone would cost me a lot more money up front, but also a higher monthly fee. I would not use it enough to justify the expense. I'm retired and am home with my land line most of the time. The point I'm making is that Ford wants me to spend money for something I don't need just to get the points I'm due. Points should be automatically credited to my Ford owners account whether I have an apt or not.

Do you have a friend with an iPhone or Android phone? I’m sure you do.. have them create the FordPass account using an email and password that you tell them to use.

After your FordPass account is created, you will see the points whenever you access your account via a computer (you won’t need to use a cell phone).

then the best way to spend your points is via Ford Dealership oil changes or service because you reap a few extra points for service. The points is worth only about 3 or 4 “The Works” package if you choose to spend your points on that oil change package.

Thank you. I'll get someone to try that.

Login here to see your FordPass points. Enter your VIN and see if that works before your friend sets up your FordPass account on their cell phone.

and it looks like you can setup your own account to see FordPass points and you probably will not need your friend and their cell phone to do it.

Try it here:

Sorry, I meant that to be a little tongue in cheek.

BTW, I have a cell phone plan with US Mobile that has 5 GB of data per month and the total after taxes and fees is $19.50. US Mobile can use either Verizon or T-Mobile towers, you have to choose when you sign up. I don't know what you are paying for your cell phone plan but less than $20/month is pretty damn cheap. Not sure if they offer any free cell phones for signing up but they might. They even have a 2 GB plan for $3 less. If you don't want it, I understand, maybe somebody else will benefit from reading this. I can get a $10 referral bonus if anyone wants to let me reap that reward.

The Ford Authority just announced: FordPass rewards points can be used at the Bronco Off-Roadeo.
Those points can be used to purchase merchandise at the Off-Roadeo, as well as cover guest and registration fees.
