That last bit was pretty tough!I’ve been bouncing around Illinois since 10/2.
I finally took delivery on 10/12! It sat for a week at the rail yard waiting to be unloaded and then a few days after unloading I got the call from the dealership that it had arrived. The wait was long but the reward is so sweet!
How did your look? My back side window was scratched too. Haven’t heard what they are going to do about that yet. They attempted to buff the black plastic but still not perfect. ?
It appears to be OK, but we have had a good amount of rain and dull days since taking delivery so it’s already dirty. It looked good in the showroom. I couldn’t see any scratches at that point.
I did talk to them about detailing it and asked them to be careful with the black plastic. They seemed to be aware of the situation and promised not to.
When I got my 2019 Escape with the same black plastic they didn’t scratch it.
I will let you know if I see anything after washing it.
Your dealer should fix the scratches. It’s unacceptable to deliver a new vehicle with cosmetic damage. Also, the black plastic can be restored. If they can’t buff and polish it, ask them to replace it.

I was thinking about putting paint protection film on those parts so I don't scratch it either. I can see how they can scratch easy! I hope you love your new ride! I love mine.

I don’t know what it means, but after three weeks in the Heights yard United road changed my status from pending pickup to on hold. Hopefully that’s not bad news
