I built this with my friend to be close to the car and still have access to the backup camera. Also there is no need to relocate the license plate. If there is interest we are going to produce a couple to sell.
We have shaken it and we are don't believe there is enough movement to contact the window. Thanks for the bumper idea of the bumper we will look into trying it outReally nice work; and thanks for the side view I requested! My only concern would be flex. If the carrier flexes enough the tire could contact the window. Have you done any testing on that issue? Perhaps a bumper stop could be installed between the mount and the tail gate to prevent contact between the tire and window.
Can you make one so you can still tow a trailer? We have shaken it and we are don't believe there is enough movement to contact the window. Thanks for the bumper idea of the bumper we will look into trying it out
Thank you, yes we can do that I just wasn't going to be towing anything with mine so I choose not to put a hitch on itCan you make one so you can still tow a trailer?
What you have done looks really nice and tight. Well done.
