I have an appointment Saturday with a local Ford dealer to order a new Bronco sport. Is the Ford C0- pilot 360 assist worth it? Also, my wife likes the hot pepper red color. Looks good in the picture but have not seen one on the road. Any thoughts?

Depends on who you ask and where you drive. Some say it’s impossible to drive without it (it’s not, most of us never had it and have driven for 1/2 century). Others will say you won’t need it and it’s just more to break. (I doubt there will be many failures due to it).

similar to the Badlands or Big Bend discussion. Depends on where and how you plan on using your vehicle and if you’d rather have a computer assisting your driving. If it wasn’t an issue with chips at the time of my order, I probably would have ordered it for the 860.00. But I wasn’t willing to take the risk on the delay for something I didn’t absolutely have to have. I haven’t missed it yet, but in all fairness I’ve never driven one so I don’t know what I’m missing. I think you can disable most of the features anyways.

The hot pepper red looks redder in pictures than in real life in my opinion. Best looking red they offer currently.

I think the hot pepper looks good in the sun. I consider it a burnt red. Have to see it in person. Possible the dealer has something on the lot to see it. 360+, I don't have it, I pay attention to the road when I drive. Others seem to like it I don't see it as a deal breaker. My daughter has it on her Honda I find it annoying. Any time you cross a stripe the steering shakes or at least hers does.

I have the 360 but not the plus. I did not order the vehicle, just bought it off the dealers lot when someone else backed off his deal. I like the 360. Red is my favorite color but the pepper Ed is a little on the orange side.

I got the 360+ for the adaptive cruise control. My husband uses cruise control a lot. When he used the adaptive cruise on my old Subaru he fell in love. So adaptive cruise was a must have on my Sport. I never use it. Neither of us uses the lane control.

Here is the closest version of hot pepper red I've seen (borrowed from the HPR post)

It actually looks more coppery in person. Beautiful colour in person. I wish I had a picture that showed its true color but unfortunately, it always looks red. I love 360 and had it in my Fusion so I can't live without it, great on the hwy with heavy, stop & go traffic.

If Mrs Bassman44 is happy with hot pepper red
you are happy with hot pepper red
in fact, it was your first choice
there really was no second choice
just hot pepper red
it always was hot pepper red
it always will be
you just didn't realize how much you like hot pepper red
honestly, thoughts?
please disregard any notion of questioning this choice
perish the thought

now, just before you sign the dotted line
salesman is anxiously tapping his foot
impatiently looks at his watch
you tell him this
I can't help but think my hot pepper ride might be incomplete
salesman so noooooooo not our bronco sports
you tell him perhaps a panel under the dash might be gone
he's on to you
tells you it's urban legend
a myth spun by broncosportforum posters
you tell him you couldn't possibly sign without assurances
and furthermore don't want to leave the lot without one in place
you just want to avoid the hassle
he tells you what you want to hear
you tell him
not good enough
put it in writing
he says he finds it totally unnecessary
you look at your wife
you mention the name of rival dealership
salesman puts it in writing
"no charge"

I've seen a couple and sunlight makes a difference just like area 51 and others. They really shift in hue.

They all come with Copilot 360. The 360 Assist + is the optional package.

Standard 360 has steering wheel shakes as well, just won’t turn it into the curb for you. Button is on the end of the turn signal stalk. I think you can modify the shaking in the menus.

Correct, I’ve been digging into my menus and you can turn it on/off as well as set the strength of the alert (3levels). I turned mine to the lowest. I don’t do a ton of interstate driving but adaptive cruise will make any longer trip easier. I left on evasive because it might save my life, who knows?

On the Hot Pepper topic, it definitely has a more orangey-red look in person, particularly when the sun hits it. My CO does the same. Under overcast skies and in all pictures it’s more yellow. When you see it on a sunny day it’s a whole different game and Hot Pepper Red is just like that.

I ordered my OB with the 360+ in addition to the regular co-pilot 360. Voice activated navigation being the main reason that I had to have it. The other features are just gravy. If nothing else, it will help the resell value down the road, since chips are in short supply for this model year in every brand of car. It may result in lower insurance cost, as well.

100% all in on the 360+ here. Worth it if it saves your ass when all else fails. But honestly most things can be shut off too if there’s something you don’t like. Even if you wind up shutting it all off I still think you’d get it back in resale again. But even if you shut everything off but the adaptive cruise it’s still worth it. Much easier than tapping up/down all the time to fit in with traffic, though you can certainly tap up/down to change following distance. I haven’t tried any others, but Ford’s is good too as a quick press on the gas is easy to close a gap & the system resumes on its own.
