how is your gps showing in the states When you go to FordPass? None of it makes sense…I’m looking at a jeep.
I just called and received same primary and secondary info as before - in production but built. This time they said it was a chip hold. The dates of August 15-21 they had give me previously referred to ship date not arrival at dealership. I don't trust these answers anymore as I was told numerous times that there was hold. I truly believe there is dishonesty or pure incompetence going on here. I don't know which is worse. Will call dealer to contact Ford rep even if it doesn't help.I’m looking at a jeep.
The GPS location shows it is in the rail yard right next to the train cars. That was on 7/29. The map hops from Berlin to Kansas/Nebraska when you click on the Mexico link. Obviously a lot of hopeful speculation about when it is updating or not. It has not updated since 8/6. The last time it did that was right before it ended up in the rail yard.how is your gps showing in the states When you go to FordPass? None of it makes sense…
That being said, is it any wonder there are so many recalls, especially the ones that have had to do with parts that are in good working condition but installed incorrectly (oil issue from earlier this year)?I just called and received same primary and secondary info as before - in production but built. Man. You would think they would just stop taking orders so they could get caught up. That is just dumb!Back in '21 two weeks after mine was built and sent to yard to sit Ford started building shipping fully optioned sports. Ford built/shipped sports for 5 months before they put the missing chip in mine. Ford had the parts they just decided to build new units instead of completing the ones sitting in the yard.
Ford prioritizes the assembly line. If a bunch of special orders are sitting in a lot missing a part that they are installing on the assembly line Ford does not care one bit.
If you can wait for who knows how long go find something else in life to focus on cause calling dealer calling Ford is not going to make a difference they do not care. They have all the buyers they need. They do not care if you go buy another brand and never come back they could not care less.
If you cant wait you'll have to go find something else.
just called, told me the same thing as everyone...chip hold.Did you call again too?
I think they prioritize keeping supply chain moving. And easier to roll them off the line vs retofitting units in the yard. Its a wide spread pattern at Ford.Man. You would think they would just stop taking orders so they could get caught up. That is just dumb!
Not a bad idea.gonna put an order in for a 4Runner and see which one comes first.
I called 800-334-4375.I’m also build week 7/4, also still “in production” as of today, I want to see if I get that same answer about a chip missing.
What did you guys do, use an online support Chat, or call on the phone? Would you mind dropping a link or a phone number for me?

None of it makes sense! Would your ford pass do like its doing if it was waiting on a chip? Would it show the modules live if it was missing a chip? I think they're telling everyone that the chip is missing just to have something to tell...I could be wrong but it just doesn't add up! But nothing doesThat being said, is it any wonder there are so many recalls, especially the ones that have had to do with parts that are in good working condition but installed incorrectly (oil issue from earlier this year)?
