I’m about to spend $41,540 on a bronco sport badlands with moon roof and badlands package but no 360+.

I have check in hand but am debating not to purchase since this vehicle does not have the 360+

I’ve been reading how nice of a feature this is and if I’m spending this amount of money I would like to have this. How long is the wait? Thoughts?

Honestly, to me the adaptive cruise makes it worth the wait. After having had it in my explorer, it’s the one thing I absolutely would not compromise on having again.

It doesn’t sound particularly essential, but very quickly becomes that to help maintain following distance. Both on the highway when waiting to pass on a two lane, but also in the city to help fit in with traffic flow.

I don’t use the ‘intelligent’ part of it as I’m not fond of the system adjusting my speed based on what it thinks it sees for speed limit signs, but that could be an added degree of help with it too.

Be prepared to wait 4-6 months (average, some longer) for a custom order.

If you frequently travel on two-lane roads with a lot of traffic then you'll like the adaptive cruise. You can set a following distance and let the computer do the work. Whether you'll like it on busy interstates with heavy traffic depends.

As mentioned, you can adjust the following distance to one of four different settings. Unfortunately, all except the one putting you closest leaves room between you and the car in front that just about every in-a-hurry asshole on the freeway will view as an invitation. When someone darts in the computer brakes vigorously. And even set to the closest distance, the assholiest of these jackwagons will still cut in. Further, I don't like the acceleration/deceleration rates Ford chose for the system in these conditions. It seemingly waits until the very last second to apply the brakes when cars in front slow down, and feels like it's flooring it during acceleration. Further, the pause before it starts accelerating when traffic begins moving is too long. You can modulate the pause by stepping on the accelerator pedal, but if you step on the brakes to try slowing a bit sooner than the computer you deactivate the system.

On long cruises away from heavy traffic it works a charm! It's just in heavy traffic I don't particularly like the way the system works. YMMV.

At the time I ordered mine, that was causing the most delays so I opted out. I’m went from a 2006 Escape as my daily so everything about this is nicer. I’ve also been driving since forever so I didn’t feel I needed an assistant helping me. My wife is just fine at telling me I’m driving too close to the person in front of me!

If it was readily available, I would have ordered it but it wasn’t so I didn’t. I don’t miss what I never had.

I never use cruise control. My husband loves it. Once he drove my Subaru and found adaptive cruise, he was hooked. It was one of the must haves when I ordered my Sport.

For the price you are quoting, I'd want the 360+

I wouldn’t buy a car in 2022 without it, tbh

Is this for a '21? There is no Badlands package on '22MY (it was renamed to Premium package.) Order banks are closed for the year, so if you want to order that won't happen until the order banks open (maybe in August?), and production doesn't start until November.

22 and yes the premium package. Very tough decision! No navigation system either no copilot 360+. Thanks for the info.

One option is to buy it, then order a '23 spec'd out the way you want. In 4-6 months the one you buy now will still be worth most of its cost unless the world gets better really fast.

I cannot live without CoPilot 360 after having it in my 2019 Ford Fusion. It should be standard on any new vehicle sold today. Love it! I never had the lane centering in my Fusion, that is an upgrade that is nice as well.

Yeah agreed, but all the badlands being shipped to all dealers in a 50 mile radius of my location do not have 360+. Some outer banks do. Used badlands with 10k miles on them are selling for $44k and they do not have 360+.

Wow. That makes me think if you ordered a Badlands with 360+, your wait would be much longer if you ordered a Badlands with the 360+.

Indeed, I do not have the option to order. In August that may change as someone mentioned but wasn’t sure, I’m thinking more like November with a 6 month wait. There is one dealership advertising 360+ but if I view the window sticker of that badlands it’s identical to mine so it’s false advertising. They are also selling it for $45k with the belief you are getting navigation, park assist and road assist but as mentioned the window sticker is identical to mine with of course a different vin#.
