WTH, Ford? Sorry you had to pay for that, something ain't right. That sticker should have been available the day the order got sent to the factory.

Well hour 23 update since talking with Ford Chat last night where they said my BS is in Production - Trim. Starting a new chat as we speak.

Still in Production - Trim. They also said my In Production date was 06/04 which is after the date it showed on the tracker. So, who knows?

If that was the date it changed status to in production, that's normally about a week before it's actually built, and right now running nearer to two weeks.

If that was the date it changed status to in production, that's normally about a week before it's actually built, and right now running nearer to two weeks.
Mine switched to "In Production" on the Order Track app on 5/27. So hopefully tomorrow there is a change? As of last night, it was actually being built per Ford Chat. Last night you said it takes about 24 hours to be built. Hoping for a change in status soon. I can be impatient with the rest of them haha. I am going to need your help and Boars help when it finally is on the train.

Thank you both for your contributions to this thread. Your real life insight has been greatly appreciated.

Ford Scheduling Process


So, I've been watching all the threads on ordering and scheduling and could not figure out the rhyme or reason to how it works.

Did a search, not sure how accurate, but it made a lot of sense:

Here is the summary. URL for original post at the end and is a very good read, it has examples of vehicles, dealers, allocation, and commodities coming together.

Order Types
  • Stock - Blue Window Sticker
  • Retail - Sold, assigned customer name, price protection, Green Window Sticker
  • Fleet
Priority Codes
  • Range 1 to 99
  • Dealer sets 10 to 99. 99 will not get scheduled, dealer use as a placeholder
  • Ford Regions/Divisions Prioritize below 10
Allocation
  • Based on dealer sales (More you sell the fewer you have on lot, the more they get)
  • There are provisions for smaller dealers when activated
Commodities (parts on hand) Wednesdays
  • supply issues
  • short term shortages
  • material HOLDs
  • supply vs demand on parts
Scheduling (able to build) Thursday's night
  • based on Commodities and Allocation
  • Dealers with allocation - list is generated in random order via computer
  • selection is done via rounds through list - round 1 takes 1st order from each dealer with allocation, then round 2, etc.
  • if allocation but no commodities, dealer order is skipped
  • Scheduling Status
    • Matl HOLD - something missing, can't schedule
    • unschd/clean - No Schedule, waiting on allocation or commodities
    • submitted (VIN)
    • scheduled (Build Date / VIN)
    • locked in (No Changes)
    • bucked (on the manufacturing floor)
    • produced (Built)
    • release from plant (Inspection, Available to ship)
    • arrived at ramp

I am so frustrated, I just called to check the status of my order. Last week they said 6/4 and I called Tuesday. They said the date stuck and the vehicle was blended and in the body shop. Called today to make sure and the lady couldn’t give me an answer just said it’s in production. She said she don’t see any blend dates or even estimated delievery dates. I get it takes time but now I’m getting conflicting information.

Did you have an invoice date? Mine was about 15 days or so before it updated as built.

Yes it was 5/27. I don’t get the emails for some reason even though all the information is correct. Both tracking apps give no new information. I’m convinced it’s just my luck with cars (I have extremely bad luck with them ?)

Mine was built on a Saturday. I would check the tracker again on Sunday so it has this whole week to complete the build process, perhaps you will see an update then. I'm from Canada and we don't receive any emails from Ford, all my queries were answered by my dealership. You might want to check with them.

All of these posts make the prospect of tracking my order less and less appealing every day. I just don't need to be this stressed about a vehicle. As long as it arrives before we get snow again, I think it will be all good. Of course when my actual build date comes around, I may need to be reminded of this post.

I’ll try texting my guy. Hopefully he gets back to me. I just find it weird that I got two different answers. I’m also a little impatient cause it was my birthday present lol
