Yeah. It's stupid. Between trying to figure that UP automated response out and hacking Palsapp, there's no actual information to be had. Not even Ford chat nor the dealer have legitimate info.
So SO true! At this point I would not be shocked to learn it get's loaded on a Zeppelin for an air drop to the dealer.

Last Saturday when we looked at the visibility report at the dealer the dude there insisted that the rail car was in Alabama and ETA was June 15th-21st because that's what's on the visibility report. The report does indeed show those dates and railcar location in Alabama on May 14th BUT it goes further to show it left Hermosillo plant on May 12th. So unless they used a warp gate to move it instantly from Arizona to Alabama I am guessing that location is wrong as well as the delivery window.

I spent way too much time yesterday trying to gain some small understanding of how freight rail works. I failed miserably at receiving this insight. I've also discovered that I have no idea what the UP telephone trace information is telling me.

I hear you there! It's like they speak an ancient, long lost language. The only thing I was able to figure out, I think, is that "Industry" means the final location where the railcar gets unloaded.

Been there done that. Lost my patience at this step…

Maybe, and hopefully because that is Saturday...significantly sooner than the 6 weeks Ford estimate even giving it a generous amount of time for truck shipment from Portland to the dealership. Like others I assumed "industry" meant City of Industry where UP has a yard. Of course, UP has tons of yards along the way, as I saw looking at the interactive railway map.
