No. 3 coats of adhesion promoter followed by 3 coats of color followed by 3 coats of clear. I don't think that the top of the cover requires high temp paint.

If thats true, then i will plastidip lime green to match accents . Then peel later when i change colors.. i was just thinking the engine bay itself might get it to hot when driving in summer. Maybe im wrong. Just dont wanna roll down the road on flames from plasti dip ?

Just like the days of adding chrome air cleaner covers or painting to match the car. Always added at least 10 hp. Was a thing when cars still had carburetors.
