Rubber Rear Seat Backing
Base model BS
No seat mounted snaps
Preliminary set-up
Fasten using velcro
I'll let you know how it goes
Side note
Go to cash out
Hit the cashiers window
"I'd like to use Paypass points"
Oh, for that you need to go to the specialist window
"Howdy specialist. I'd like to use my Passpoints"
Oh, shows you have 42,000. You're good to go. Take your parts.
And AGAIN some how points are never deducted
Sure they'll find it someday
But until then
I'd have to say from the last couple visits I'm a pro at deficit spending
Think I'll run for Congress

Not much luck finding snap fasteners
FordParts.com seems to suggest pop riveting???
Any link for a part number would be appreciated.
Rather take another approach than the pop-rivet
Say things get wet and you need to remove rubber mat
Rivet seems less favorable for removal purposes
After velco option No. 2 is push pin restraint

Basemodelluckytohavehood.jpeg
Nope, just as I would have expected
Size it up
Looked pretty barren
Stark
Flat
Plastic
Remedy: Need this
Place order Fordparts.com late in evening
Delivery truck this AM
Done deal
Noise reduction
I believe so

Thanks for the part no's Glamdring70

Anyone have any intel on the (green arrows) four tubing ports?
My 12/23/21 built 2022 Outer Banks has this cushion device.
I thought it is an additional inflation device that inflated in the event the collision avoidance system failed. The green arrows point to the chip controlled ports that open when in SPORT GOAT mode so you can hear the Little Engine That Could better.
That's what I read on the infonet anyway.

Heh heh. I didn't drop that one here lest it lead to a run on the parts like the Engine Cover crisis of 2022. Glad you got in before the stampede!

I am still trying to figure out the other 4 plastic pegs. My belief is that there is some piece of hardware (like a brake cylinder?) that attaches to the firewall via the same push retainer system, in larger gauges. I have looked online at other Ford engine bays like EcoSport and Escape and haven't found anything. Maybe on the electric Mavericks???

So...the dealer was supposed to install both the crossbars and these fender flares. They were not in stock when I took delivery. I put them on myself. What do y'all think? Not sure about the fender flares but they may grow on me.

Project: Attach Rubberized Rear Seat Backing (Base/No Snaps)
Test Run: determine if rear seat fabric bonds with velro

Results: Positive, velcro grabs frabric

Next phase of work attach adhesive velco strips to panels.

Beware, the velcro will pull pretty hard on the carpet and make a "fuzzy" spot, that eventually won't hold the panels any longer.

Noted
Likely outcome of this application will be once applied no reason to remove
The "other" vehicle rear seats folded in down position 14 years ago
They've been like that the whole time
BS will be treated in the same manner
Utility cargo space
How many owners with the rubberized panels will periodically remove them?
Got a hunch, once snapped in *wipes hands* that's that!
If indeed the velco fails
Poster Jrl suggested snaps
That's my option no.2
Hold back on option no.2
Not sure if seat backs already have pre-drilled locations
Unsure of hole sizes if that is the case
If installing snaps they've got to be dead-on, no room for error
