Does anyone know where the turbo is and how hard it would be to make a DIY intake, I have the 2 liter inline 4.

When facing the engine from the front of the vehicle the turbo is on the back left of center on the engine. Follow the intake tube from the air filter back and it feeds into the intake side of the turbo.

Passenger side bottom rear of engine. Should be able to access it from the wheel well(if it’s in the same spot as it is in the fusion that uses the same motor)

It will do you no good as the ECU will only throttle back any extra air volume benefits with fuel, air, or valve timing.
You need to flash the chip. That's getting good useable gains, 50, 60 ft lbs and more. These tunes are putting the torque down low where you can use it.
It's all in this forum.
