Ive had my Big Bend edition BS for a week now. Love everything about it, except for this noise that started a few days ago on startup (was not present on test drive or a few days after purchase)

Someone on Reddit said it might be related to anti theft. I declined the additional Ford GPS stolen vehicle thing the dealer tried to sell me on.

Anyone experience this? Any ideas? To my knowledge I didnt change any settings.

I have not found or looked for a pattern but I thimk, spelled thimk, hmmm what Izzat for?
It comes when I start up with the door open, no wait,,, it was when I had the headlights on manual,
Or was it,,,,,,
Seriously I’ve had that happen off and on but not often.
It sounds like an odd door chime, different than opening the door with key in ignition,,
Maybe, sort of, kinda??????
Izzat like yours Thd92 ???

It’s an aftermarket security alarm that some dealers install but if you don’t buy it it isn’t enabled but is still left on the vehicle.

Saw the same on the Ranger 5G forums. I’ll try to find a link…

Seems this is likely. Wonder what is triggering it when the car is started?
