Badlands gets a lot of media hype, but Base/BB/OBX outsell it by a ton.
Ehhh I think those numbers are a bit skewed. Most dealers push the Big Bend as best bang for the buck and stock inventory is skewed that way. Add to perspective badlands has been blocked from order status for a few months due to commodity issues. The Badlands is far and away the order of choice here. It's not to say the other trims have no appeal, everyone has their budget and wants. Assuming the other trims are simply outselling the badlands is in line with the article stating ford was cutting the badlands model due to poor sales. Not even close, data can be interpreted any way you want it to depending on what facts you omit.

I'm not offended either way. I look at it like...agree, disagree, doesn't matter I'll state what I believe and that's ok if you feel differently ?

Very true because Ford isn't building any Badlands and from the ten dealers I've talked to there ain't any in the pipeline that aren't special ordered and extremely few of those.

Y'all are aware they shut off badlands orders late spring right? It's commodity not interest. The reason Badlands are few and far between, ford halted ordering. It's been cited the 2.0 engine was part of it. The badlands is the top from option. That's one of the reasons the first edition is a badlands combo.

Disclaimer - I have no advance knowledge and have a 2021 Badlands on order since 18 March that is not in, nor currently scheduled for production according to Ford Marketing.

I am beginning to have doubts that the Badlands model will be available for 2022.

What we do know:
New orders were shut down for the Badlands on 15 April 2021.
There was no apparent offer to eliminate the moon roof option on the Badlands as there was on the Outer Banks.
Many/most of the back orders that are being built and shipped seem to be OB or BB models w/o moon roof.
Other than the limited run of "First Edition' models, only the Badlands uses the 2.0 L engine.
Ford has been very quiet on why orders are so back logged other than to blame it all on "chip shortages".

Is the real culprit the 2.0L engine ?

I am anxiously awaiting the alleged 2022 order date of 30 August to see if I might ever get a Badlands with
a 2.0l engine or if I order another Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.
Ordered my Badlands 28Mar. picked up 29 Jun. Alto blue with hitch. The 2.0 is a proven engine.

The maverick has the 2.0L engine option to so all those orders would be in trouble to for anyone choosing the non hybrid maverick engine.

I got another Toyota this past week and will trade in a year or two for a badlands hopefully. Got tired of the games and no answers from ford or the local dealers not knowing anything. Really poor experience and no one knows what's going on.
Sorry about your Toyota........
