Pics of the damage.

Is that something Hells Angels care about? Not being sarcastic, I really don’t know.

I'm livid on your behalf. That's some inexcusable thievery right there. Hope he gets what's coming.

As for putting them away, I sure hope so, but I live in Portland sooo… It’s possible they won’t even get a warrant.
chance that it's rental property?
City records landlord?
phone call to landlord
hey landlord, what are my chances of getting my stuff back?
option no.2
seems enforcement is lax
too lax
OP, needs spray can of hi-vis paint
OP gets mean streak sprays THIEF on garage door
what the hell, right?
nobody gives a crap about theft
they sure as hell won't care about vandalism

Great idea about the rental property but unfortunately it’s not. However, a neighbor mentioned that an elderly man used to live there and owned the place, and as far as he knows still does. However the neighbor has not seen him since his methhead son and band of miscreants moved in. Maybe I’ve uncovered more than theft. ? This was told to the police and a welfare check was mentioned… If nothing comes of any of this the legal system here is hopeless.

Difficult for me not to imagine just going to get the tent back, know what they cost. Obviously the thieves aren't super concerned. On the flip side, they would know where they got the tent from, and may retaliate if you simply take back what's yours.

Best bet would be to go through the legal process and perhaps make a homeowner's/rental insurance claim. Otherwise, risk it to get the RTT-biscuit.

Yeah I was dumb for sure. It's just so heavy to take on and off. These people must not be the brightest because they didn't cut the straps. They somehow yanked and cut the roof rails off. Aside from the rails which are completely destroyed, they scratched up the roof too. It could've been a lot worse though. It's amazing they didn't shatter the moonroof.

Retaliation is definitely a concern. They won’t call the cops no matter what. I’m curious what they would do if their garage door happened to get caught on a tow rope…

Curious if anyone knows anything about the claim in this video that the Perimeter Plus module is already installed and only needs to be activated using Forscan.

I just hooked up the ol' FORScan and the Perimeter option under BdyCM is already enabled. I also followed the install manual section about accessing the optional vehicle security feature (ign on/off x5, play with the doors, etc.) and it didn't do any horn-honking confirmations. I don't have time to peel off trim pieces and look for the module tonight, but I peeked around as best I could and I didn't see anything module-y looking.

I got my Sport broken into in Portland. Such a waste of a pretty city. The cops did not pick up the non-emergency line and never got back to me after I filed a police report online. Sorry for your tent theft, it is so much worse than mine.

Your insurance should cover it. I would skip the street justice part of it because you don't know all the details of that situation over there. They might seem like low level meth heads, but they could be connected to a larger network that would kill you and your family for disrupting their crime ring. Maybe that's why the police didn't do anything because they are building a larger case against them which includes homicides, drug charges, etc. To me, that's the only thing that makes sense because the police had PC to enter the home and they didn't. I would file an insurance claim, and get a ground tent and an alarm that contacts your phone if activated.
