Our obsession continues!Drove to work in my Bronco for about the 80th time……. Still thinking ? Boy do I love my Bronco ?
I got these same ones, no issues. You can get from Omac direct a little cheaperI see this
What size awing you go with ? 4.5 or 6.5?Overlanding setup installed with cargo rack, recovery board mount and awning
Exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you!I put a full size spare in my OB today. Sumitomo HTR A/S P03, 225/65R17 on a Crager 83-7714 steel wheel. Amost identical diameter to the 18's on my OB. Tire fits in the spare well and the rear floor came out level when installed in the higher notches. Only problem is the spare tire mounting stud is too short, but the longer one for a full size spare is available.
Looking good!Overlanding setup installed with cargo rack, recovery board mount and awning
You might want to reinstall the bolts there, with some rubber fender washers.
Actually going to chop the plastic off. There is a fairly big void behind the holes which does nothing but trap dirt etc.You might want to reinstall the bolts there, with some rubber fender washers.
Unclear if they present extra ingress paths?
Looking good.Did a couple things over the past week or so.
1) got rid of the wind deflectors front and rear. Looks much better without them. For the rear, there is a huge dirt/salt trap behind the deflector. The plan is to carve away the plastic so that it will drain properly.
2) got a roof basket at last - brand new in box at a discount on FB market place. Ok with that. Next spring I shall sand and raptor coat it.
3) got the silly little box for in front of the screen. Mine had to be stuck down with double sided tape. There were grooves in the bottom for that purpose. Doesn’t wiggle any more than the rest of the trim and looks OEMish enough for me.
Next up? Trailer hitch - Curtis one from U-Haul and a nudge bar from FRL with added recovery points. That will get me tow out of the ditch assistance should I screw up this winter ??
Final mods for now will be two inches of lift and another inch from 245/65 17s. Likely KO2. That won’t happen until the current tyres are worn. Also, a trailer hitch swing arm for a full sized spare. That will complete the low rent overland rig. Unless I put in a dual battery set up, which might also happen (redarc and two 100amp batteries stored in the hole the spare tyre was).
Sorry! Ford Ranger Lifts. His nudge bar is a thing of beauty. If you get excited about welded metal that is ?Looking good.
Whats FRL though?
Or if you're just looking for something different than the RC everyone else uses... This FRL definitely wins the style points.Sorry! Ford Ranger Lifts. His nudge bar is a thing of beauty. If you get excited about welded metal that is ?
Yep. Also, it can have recovery points on it. I really like the subtle look of it as well.Or if you're just looking for something different than the RC everyone else uses... This FRL definitely wins the style points.
