It is all relative to traffic conditions and other variables.
I used eco mode with adaptive cruise control from PA to FL and almost 1.5mpg better fuel economy.
With adaptive cruise control when traffic slows or you get stuck behind 18 wheelers ridding side by side in both lanes. When the congestion finally clears out ahead of you and the car automatically accelerates back up to your cruise control set speed. The BS does it much more smooth and controlled in eco compared to being in normal or sport mode. Multiply this happening a lot during a 900 mile trip and you cut out a lot of unnecessary heavy acceleration.
When on a long highway trip I recommend using eco mode along with adaptive cruise control.
I did. Both ways.

I did both ways as well.
I got 1.5mpg better using eco with adaptive cruise than what I got with normal and adaptive cruise.

But like I said fuel economy numbers differ as variables change. You are never going to have the same trip with the exact same conditions. Traffic/Speed limits/Wind/Temp...

All I can say is the engine goes to a much higher rpm not using eco mode w/ adaptive cruise. If I can keep the engine at a lower rpm for more of the total miles on a long trip this would equate to less fuel being used.

I didn't change my cabin air filter (that'll be tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on arrival). But I did inspect it after odor of unknown origin. Looks like a mouse decided to nest on top of it, then chew through it! Threw out the nesting material, sprayed some peppermint spray in the engine bay as a hopeful deterrent, putting an ultrasonic pest repellent in the engine bay on Tuesday, and replacing the cabin air filter when the new one gets here.

(The FP100A cabin air filter isn't stocked on Amazon or at Advance Auto Parts/Auto Zone. Orielly has it, even in-stock at local stores sometimes if you have one near you. I just ordered two off Rockauto and paid the shipping (which is about the same price if Orielly Auto Parts was nearby.)

You definitely want to get this under control ASAP. Consider traps. I know some people don't like to kill animals unnecessarily, but mice will chew through the wiring of your vehicle(s). Ask me how I know...

Unless there's a trap that would be effective in the engine bay, I won't have much luck. The issue is I have to park the car outside in a rural area...

Understood. Get a cat? Seriously, I think you could put some glue traps around inside the engine bay that would at least catch any mice that do make their way inside. It would be ongoing rather than permanent, and you'd have to check them every day.

I wouldn't waste your money on an ultrasonic device. From everything I've read they may work for a time, but rodents will eventually become accustomed to the noise rendering them ineffective.

test fit the Luno today, worth the cost when I think about how much money this will save me when I go snowboarding. Fit is good, a little declined torwards the feet, but it would be an easy fix, 42.5in x 2.5in piece of wood under the cargo tray fixes the issue.

I bought some glue traps and I'll try to put them around the engine bay when they arrive tomorrow. It'll make me check the car more often too (working from home I am not a daily driver by any means...)

The ultrasonic devices I've heard mixed feedback on. Some say it works great, others say they get used to it. They also have a strobe light, which apparently is very discouraging for rodents in small places, and they don't really get used to it. I figure the risk of hoping it helps for $20 is worthwhile to supplement the peppermint oil spray and the traps. In an ideal world, the other bits will deter them from wanting to be around my car, and the traps will be a just-in-case backup.

Edit: New cabin air filter in place (after sanitizing the area in which the filter fits...) and the relief is immediate. Also props for Ford creating a higher filtration standard with the Refresh95 filters, just wish they were more generally available other than online ordering...
