So after getting told by Ford dealer it’d be about a month to get in and I was at around 6,000miles in I said screw it let me do it myself.
So far I’ve only let the dealer do the changes besides my second change which I did myself, and now I’m at 24,674 miles.
So the first time they did my oil change at 3,000 miles, everything seemed fine. A week later my oil pressure light pops off and puts my car in limp mode and cannot accelerate as I’m literally getting off the on ramp into a 65mph highway lol . I check the levels, it was a full quart low.Topped it off drove like normal since.
A few changes later, everything was fine nothing like the first change.
I go under the car today, my skid plates torn slightly, some of my skid plate screws are missing out of nowhere including one of the tab screws, and then when I get the skid plate off there’s oil all on my oil filter and the oil drain plug area is covered as well. Skid plate is coated in oil. I had added about a third of a quart at 3,000 into this change, but never saw the oil level dip much so extremely confused.
Also the oil filter appeared to be the smaller one that was put in stock from the factory and not the larger one that was placed the first change. Needless to say I immediately did the change then tightened the plug. No oil leaking so far after driving about an hour, kept the skid plate off so I can check for leaks in the morning, oh and the windshield cracked while parked for 6 days lol.
Anyone else have any fun experiences so far?
