Got an email at 7pm this evening, informing me that my 5-23 build has been moved to 5-30.

I'm with a pretty high volume dealer (Phil Long Ford in Colorado Springs), so I have hope for an earlier build date.
Hey fellow 719er. Did Phil Long guarantee no markup for your order? I ended up going through Schomp in Denver because they couldn’t say whether my order would be marked up or not.

Hey fellow 719er. Did Phil Long guarantee no markup for your order? I ended up going through Schomp in Denver because they couldn’t say whether my order would be marked up or not.
I actually live in Denver but ended up buying from Phil Long in CO Springs because they at least had something I could test drive. I thought it was going to be an Escape 2L but it was another one of those ā€œwe already sold thatā€ situations. So I drove a Ranger with a 2.2L which only has a little more power/torque and is at least a similar type of vehicle.

To answer your question, Phil Long did not mark up any on the special order. If you were buying off the lot, then I think they are marking them up.

Sold my car to Carmax yesterday, got about $2k more than a Ford dealership offered for it, so putting most of that towards my down payment on the BS. Still waiting for it to arrive at the dealership, really hoping that 4/1-4/7 delivery estimate was right.

Placed my order 11-27-21 and still no production date.?
Did receive confirmation same day.
Badlands:
Premium, tow package, 360+
Maybe I will get it by Christmas ?

Something ain't right with your order. Bug dealer again, again, and again. Your situation sounds like a year ago orders.
I did get an email from the dealership March 3rd. This is what I received:

"Unfortunately all of my Badlands orders have not built yet do to commodity constraints. The higher end trims require more micro chips, etc. You are next in queue, so hopefully it picks up soon."

So I'm next in queue, whenever that will be.

Based on others already getting either the actual BS BL or their build dates, it sounds like something is going on at your dealer. Is it how many cars they can get? That should not be the case since we hear that custom orders should not count against a dealer’s allotment. So are they screwing you over in some way? Do you have an order number? If yes, you can call Ford and get information on your order.

I have a copy of the original paperwork I signed when I placed my order. It does include an order code #. I will most definitely call Ford to find out what is going on.

Just ordered yesterday... let the waiting start!
I don’t know how prevalent this is, but my dealer has a specific person for custom orders. I ordered on a Saturday too and did not get confirmation of the order until Tuesday or Wednesday. I’m guessing that person was either too busy to complete the order on Saturday, wasn’t working on Saturday, or maybe the Ford system doesn’t confirm/complete orders until sometime during the week? It could also just be a lazy employee for all I know.

Unless your dealership is very responsive, I would suggest you call Ford Customer Relations and talk to a representative there. They are very helpful and glad to take your call. They can look up your order with just a few details from you and then they will give you the order # that will make the process faster in the future.
