2022 Ford Bronco Sport 1.5L – Complete Electrical/Network Failure – Looking for Diagnostic Help
I’m working on a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport 1.5L EcoBoost that suddenly developed a major electrical/network issue while driving.
The vehicle was in Drive when suddenly all the warning lights came on, followed by the instrument cluster completely shutting off. A “Vehicle Network Communication Error” message appeared.
I shut the vehicle off, and afterward it would not start back up.
I initially suspected the battery, so I installed a brand-new battery, but the problem remains.
Current symptoms:
I’m currently planning to check CAN resistance between OBD pins 6 and 14, as well as power/grounds to the Gateway/PCM and the major network modules.
Has anyone experienced this exact issue on a 2021–2023 Bronco Sport? If so, what ended up being the cause/fix?
Looking for any known failures, TSBs, wiring diagrams, ground locations, or diagnostic procedures that could point me in the right direction.

- Ford logo: does not appear
- Fuel pump: does not prime
- Relay(s): clicking
- OBD-II port: has power
- Scan tool: powers up but has NO communication with the vehicle
- All fuses have been checked and appear good
- New battery installed with no change
- Vehicle does not start
