I really wanted a full size Bronco when I bought my 22 BS Badlands. Still debating on trading but can't afford the Bronco Badlands. No sure if I'd be happy with a lesser model, say a Bronco Outer Banks. Thoughts ?

Depends on why you wanted the Badlands trim. Personally if I was ordering and didn't get a Badlands or Wildtrak I'd probably buy a SAS Black Diamond or a Basesquatch. Black Diamond you can get the MGV and washout floors.

Look at the Heritage Edition. IMO, perfect blend of off road creed (SAS) without too much of the fancy stuff.

I am in a similar situation. The Black Diamond trim is definitely the affordable way to go IMHO with what I have been researching. One can add a lift kit and or suspension if that's what one feels is needed. Same with a front locker.
