I've owned my BS for less than 72 hours now. It's an OB and the only package/option on it is the Co-Pilot 360+ (I wanted the Nav system).

So, picked it up Saturday and was going through the owner Manual Sunday and configured things as I wanted as I went along.

Of course, the manual is riddled with the dreaded phrase "if equipped". The sticker nor info on various pages of Ford's massive website don't always seem to highlight the list of "if equipped" by trim or package. For example, Global Windows. Yep, got 'em on the OB-.

Also have cornering lights and I really do like them. A lot.

Turned off the Back Seat Nanny, too. I like picking what screens are available for the IP display. My F-150 is not configurable in that way (I think. Mebbe I need to re-read the manual, but nah).

I'll prolly delve into the world of ForScan just to turn off the double honk you get when exiting the vehicle with the key in your pocket and the engine running. Also noticed that after starting the engine and leaving the key in the BS, at some point it shut down.

My 20019 F-150 does a shut down when idling if I remote start it, not when I start it with the key. I had the BS running following a key start as I was updating Sync3 in the driveway. I have no Idea if it stayed running until the update was finished or if the update just happened to finish before the timer killed the engine. My preference is that the engine stays running when I start it using the key, until I stop it. It's my gas. Already paid for. Dunno if there is a setting for that.

I do need to firmly close rear glass and liftgate, or I get an "Ajar" warning. I am guessing that is just the rubber boots over the switches are a little stiff being new.

My back end was also a little stiff when new. @2200 miles now and its all good back there.
As I grow more accustom to this Baby Bronco/Bronco II I like to call it. many of the simple things stand out as way cool for me.
For example:
1: Very comfy seat and seat back,
2: Such a roomy cabin, It's like stepping Inside the TARDIS, Ford How did you pull that off ? (when I get Into my back up beater 2004 Escape I hit things, The Escape cabin feels closed in, cramped.
3: A 4x4 and 26 mpg oh my, gonna really like that with $4 a gallon coming to a pump near me I tell ya !
4: Smooth, quiet ride,
5: It fits me so well, control placements, No gear shift lever Is great but now and then I paw at the wiper control Ha ! I really like that.
6: Base model but I can remote start it from inside my warm house with the phone app... Love that one.
7: I got my first rock chip out of the way, now I can park It Up close and not fear the Inevitable door ding from Inept people.
8: After just 2200 miles It feels like I know this vehicle Inside and out.
Still 100% happy

Music to my ears! Our road in a couple of weeks will give me a chance to compare Eco to Normal drive modes.

I did that on a couple of 2 hr trips shortly after getting the F-150 a couple years back (Akron to Columbus, OH and back, then to Carlisle, PA a few weeks later).

I put a BackFlip cover on the bed. Only cargo was vacation baggage. Got 28 mpg in the truck. My 208 Jeep Liberty was lucky to break 18 mpg!

Sat in the back seat behind the driver's station. I'm 6'2" and had the driver seat set for me. I was amazed at the room in that configuration. Primary passengers for the second row are Grandson the Elder (he's 10) and our Brittany (she's 6). So, plenty of room back there.

There is a "30 minute idle" option.

Yes, there is. And that's not the same as "when I start with the key, leave it running until I stop it".

And the owner's neither manual nor the Ford FAQ say, "when you start the vehicle and begin a Sync3 or Map update, the vehicle will remain running until the update completes." (At least, it's not prominent if that's the case). In many devices, an interrupted update results in a bricked device, so it's not trivial, IMO.

Let me try again. I must of miscommunicated.

If you would like to idle your vehicle, start with your key and leave it running, for over 30 minutes you have to deselect it in the settings.
