2023 Badlands. I've been driving this around for a year now, 22,770 miles. To Minneapolis many times, St Louis twice, Nashville, Chicago twice, you get the picture.

Great ride, gas milage is always around 29-30 mpg on the highway, no trouble passing people with the 2.0L, no trouble exceeding the speed limit whenever the mood strikes. Snow was no problem even with these crap tires. The car looks great.

Recently the FordPass app underwent a change and my wife and I had to reload the app and get the Ford Credit app as well. Ever since then I can't put the BS back on my phone app. No matter the different ways I tried I can't get it on my app-my wife either. She got a new iphone because she thought it might help her connect the BS better/easier. With all the traveling we do its nice wirelessly connect to the phone map apps but we have to use a wire to get it to work.

Sometime in here the BS will start with a blank screen and we have to do the volume button/ff button thing to get it to reboot. It works but we really shouldn't have to do that. Earlier this week I get a panic call that the BS is dead. They have to take apart the fob to get the actual key to get in the car. Car won't start but there is a flashing code like 'park brake alt' . Our Ford dealer is 6 hours away and had no clue about the code. The local Ford dealer said get the car here and maybe get it in Thursday (its Tuesday). Lots of stress because my wife and son were there for appointments. She calls a tow truck to get a jump start and maybe a tow. The guys starts the car. There is no code anymore. Tow truck guy says battery was dead. The battery is still good and your alt is still working fine. "Maybe you hit the start button as you left the car and it was in accessory mode all night". After scouring the internet I found that with the electric park brake if your battery is getting low it'll throw park brake codes/issues

They had no issues after that and are back home and its still running fine. I have an appointment with our Ford dealer to fix a recall and to look into the connect issue.

I still like this vehicle but maybe verging on some trust issues-time will tell.

After getting a replacement battery (some prefer AGM Battery over the EFB) along with the Battery Sensor Reset (Battery Management System (BMS) Reset) Procedure:

Ask your dealership if these apply and you can search this forum for more information on these topics:

Recall 24S24 BCM/PCM Calibration update (software only recall)

Customer Satisfaction Program 24B47: Update Sync Software
In all the affected vehicles, due to an error in the SYNC software, you may experience SYNC system instability concerns and/or a failure to preserve certain settings across ignition cycles. This may result in a black infotainment screen that does not affect rear view camera, incorrect language setting, erased or unsaved radio presets, and potential inability to perform software updates.

Regarding issues with the FordPass App, you can call Ford Customer Service to get connected to someone that can walk you through the steps to get FordPass App working on your phones. And here are a couple other useful numbers to have.

Ford Customer Service: +1 (866) 436-7332

FordPass App: +1 (888) 999-6178

Sync3 Connected Services Team:
+1 (833) 389-0848

Regarding this

“With all the traveling we do its nice wirelessly connect to the phone map apps but we have to use a wire to get it to work.”

All ‘21-‘24 Bronco Sports use a wired cable from your phones to the Sync3 System which allows you to use CarPlay (iPhone) and Android Auto (Android phones). You can then use the Maps on your phones.

For this purpose, the USB-C and USB-A ports are located below the 8” Display.

Optionally, you can buy a device that plugs into one of those USB Ports and allows your phone to connect wirelessly.

Update.

So we took the BS to the dealer. Told him about the information not staying in the memory. The resetting to get it to work. The wi-fi not working with it, etc.

We left it with Ford all day. When we got it back everything worked. Everything my wife complained about was working.

They ran battery tests. They ran the alternator tests and nothing showed so he decided to swap battery's since there was nothing else. While the car was running to, presumably, help charge the battery the wi-fi started working and he ran updates and that was it.

When we got it back we started trying all the things that didn't work and now they did. The app is working again as well. I guess a well charged battery is really needed these days.
