It can take upwards to 60-90 minutes, if you are not going to be driving your vehicle, make sure you turn off the Automatic Idle Shutoff feature. This will also engage again each time you do a key cycle, you will perform 1-2 key cycles for the USB Map update and will need to turn off that feature again if you are not going to be driving your vehicle. Lesson learned, I didn't realize it turned itself back on with a key cycle ...LOL. Only remove the USB when you are instructed to do so at the prompt you must respond to in order to remove it from the screen on your display
Maybe the car comes with only a couple years of free upgrades and that price reflects the USB plus the map upgrade itself? Was there going to be a charge if you did the download and install yourself?
I didn't check that. So far, I've managed to do about 3 or 4 upgrades on my last 3 vehicles. It never went too smoothly (I'm a dinosaur with computers). I thought this time I would just get the pre-loaded USB and install. We usually take my '23 OBX with up-to-date nav on a trip. If we have to take the Ecosport, I'll just take the hand-held Garmin I have for work for back-up.
