Steelies cost $1000 each!

This morning's chuckle:

I've read somewhere on this forum that if I wanted to purchase Steelies (Badlands)rims, that Ford was charging silly money. I was at the Ford dealer yesterday getting my wife's car serviced and asked the parts guy to look up some prices. Steelies come in around $1000.00 each! 17" black or grey Big Bend style rims are > $700.00.

I found this quite humorous.

I have a quote at home for those exact wheels from Gallenger Ford (Milton ON). $6400 CAD taxes in!!!!! F*****g ridiculous. I have been selling wheels and tires every day for 12 years and not a single cast wheel has ever come even close to that kind of money. I could have a fully forged modular 2 or 3 piece fully custom wheel set for that kind of cash.

Great question! Definitely torn. Might be easier to trade mine as is and go with the steelies and 235s for now. Really like the BFGs though.
