I know this is a long shot, but I am looking to buy a steering wheel with the select shift paddle shifters from a Bronco Sport Badlands or equivalent. If you know of anyone parting their car or whatever it be, please let me know. I’d prefer it be the heated wheel and must have the paddle shifters. I don’t need the airbag so if that’s blown, that’s okay. Also, I won’t need any of the buttons on the front of the wheel so if they are damaged, it is okay.

Side note: I am wanting to upgrade my wheel to include the paddle shifters and I will take care of other wiring and ForScan stuff myself to activate select shift in my vehicle. After some research, I have found that the Bronco Sport has the ability to swap my steering wheel pretty easily. Thanks in advanced!

Are you wanting to put a Bronco Sport Badlands in a Maverick? I found one. (PM) I'm guessing both have a ten speed?

Hello! Yes you got that correct! I am looking for the one that has the paddle shifters attached to the wheel. From my searching I see that the Badlands trim has a 2.0L EcoBoost with the same 8 speed transmission as the Maverick!

I did the swap on a '23 Mustang where both had the same 10 Speed AT. It was plug and play. If the Mav never offered paddles, it might prove to be a challenge. I would like to put paddles on my Big Bend, but it has an 8 Speed AT.

That’s awesome! The Maverick never offered paddles until this year 2025 LOBO. The wiring connector on the wheels are the same though we Maverick owners need to add 3 pins from the connector on the steering control module and to the PCM in the driver side bumper. Then activate a few settings on ForScan and boom it works. I’m excited to do this as it makes spirited driving so much more fun.

There are a group of people trying to figure out how to keep the Maverick in true manual mode like how the M button works on the automatic Mustang. Nothing yet. Though, with the paddles on the Maverick, it will let you select a gear and will hold it for a short time as you’re on the gas peddle but when you let off the gas peddle, the transmission takes back over will auto shift to normal. Also, the transmission control module will not let you redline so it will auto shift up as you get close to redline while you are on the paddles.

In the Mustang, you really needed to pay attention in Manual mode.

In my F-150 you need to pay attention too. You can really bounce the rev limiter if you’re not careful!
