Why did you choose to use grok over ChatGPT? I’ve read it is less politically correct than some other ai tools

I’ve used ChatGPT to plan trips. Here’s an example of what it says about planning a camping trip:

Yes, I can definitely help you plan a detailed camping trip itinerary! To get started, I’ll need a bit more information:

1. Destination
• Where do you plan to go camping? (National park, state park, or wilderness area?)
• Do you prefer a developed campground or a more remote, off-grid site?

2. Duration
• How many days and nights will the trip be?
• Are you planning a weekend getaway, a multi-day hike, or an extended stay?

3. Activities
• What types of activities do you want to include? (Hiking, fishing, swimming, photography, stargazing, etc.)
• Do you prefer a mix of adventure and relaxation or a packed itinerary?

4. Group Size and Skill Level
• How many people are coming? Are they experienced campers or beginners?
• Any kids or pets coming along?

5. Accommodation Style
• Tent camping, RV, camper van, or backcountry camping?
• Do you need access to facilities (showers, toilets), or are you okay with primitive camping?

6. Meals and Cooking
• Will you be cooking meals at the campsite or bringing ready-to-eat food?
• Do you need a meal plan or grocery list?

7. Time of Year
• When are you planning to go? (Season, specific dates?)
• Any concerns about weather or seasonal conditions?

8. Budget and Preferences
• Are you looking for a budget-friendly trip or something more luxurious with guided tours and amenities?

Optional Considerations
• Do you need help with gear checklists?
• Are there any special preferences (quiet, scenic views, water access)?

Let me know these details, and I’ll create a personalized, step-by-step itinerary that fits your goals and preferences!

• Firewood: Bring your own or collect locally (no outside wood due to invasive species).

How does one bring their own when one cannot bring outside wood?

funny!

Many things these AI tools say has to be carefully scrubbed and checked

Usually some idiot human posted something and gets repeated by AI (a drastic oversimplification)

The correct phrase found on the internet is:

Firewood: Bring your own (purchased locally) or collect locally (no outside wood due to invasive species).

Probably grok picked up the bad wording.

ChatGPT allows you tell ChatGPT when it made a mistake and to provide a correction, I don’t know if grok allows that too.

ChatGPT actually made that referenced error.

Grok only mentions to bring your own fire ring. (so it’s error was emitting the whole restriction altogether…)

Thanks for the heads up on allowing ChatGPT to correct itself – I’ll experiment with Grok later this evening to see if it does the same.

either way – I’m finding both to be extremely useful, granted with a little common sense double checking on important stuff.
Right .. so if u still have that ChatGPT chat you can tell ChatGPT what the error is and make a suggested correction (that’s what I meant to say)
