Scuff marks on door - how to remove?

I came out from the grocery store and to a person who who told me that a 18-wheeler may have hit my car. Luckily all it left was some rubber scuff marks. I think the tire rubbed against my car. I got all of the rubber off using bug/tar remover. All that is left is this brown discoloration. Any ideas on how to get this out?

Start with the mildest abrasive and work your way up. I would try a quality cleaner/wax, like this from Mequiar's. If that doesn't work try a rubbing compound. Careful with the rubbing compound, it can damage the clear coat.

If neither of those work you take it to your local body shop and ask them if they can polish it out. They'll have special compounds and equipment to do the job right.

Ford sells touch up paint pens. They work wonders!! People just LOVE parking tooo close to me and bashing their door into mine.. picked one up… and honestly you can’t even tell a touch up pen was used

Good suggestion!

It takes a skillful hand to not "blob" on too much paint from the paint pens. Use several applications if the mark is deep or wide, allowing drying time between applications.
