Hey y'all, I'm looking at putting a roof rack on my 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend edition, so I can carry a full size spare tire. Has anyone done this, and do you have recommendations as to the rack I should be looking at?

Is the 'well' for the spare smaller than the one in the Badlands?

I'd be surprised if that is the case because a) it is cheaper to make all trims substantially the same (less tooling) and b) I thought a full size spare was an option on all trims and/or comes with the tow package.

But if not, if the spare storage well is too small, you might consider securing it in the cargo area most of the time. When you need the extra space, then you could install the rack and put the spare on it.

Some reasons why one might not want to routinely carry the spare on the roof are:

1) The roof rack adds weight.
2) The rack and spare add wind resistance, and will reduce MPG.
3) They raise the center of gravity.
4) The spare may get stolen.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be done, just mentioning some considerations.
