Washing wife’s OB and it’s just non stop clicks, clunks and buzzes touching the car. Keys are no on me. They were set aside in garage. Like the locks never stop when you touch the vehicle.

I’ve never figured out what they all are, but this is true of the explorer as well. I’ve never had any issues so I assume it’s nothing to worry about. I just assume it’s detecting the fob but you’d think the only noise could be from a lock relay. But the car isn’t doing anything with the locks aside from making those noises.

the door handle sensing touch has nothing to do with the fob. it's the same magic that smart phone screens use. my guess is that the touch feature enables the lock/ unlock circuit to "look" for the fob causing the noises. no fob, no further reaction.

curious, does your Sport react in a similar way when touching the B pillar key pad?

I installed my first such sensing switch in a timing circuit in 1973 for a D.O.D. project. no clicks, clunks or buzzing involved.

Ford was the first to offer this feature for cars in or about 1980.

I used to get to work early and sit in the car for a minute and always hear some noises that sounded like the door locking solenoid clicking back and forth loudly, it is only the driver door and it would happen a few minutes after turning off the engine but with radio still on.

Hey there! I can look into your Bronco's noise concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info?

Definitely sounds like the locks. Was washing my Maverick and it did the same thing. Now the drivers door does not work with keyless lock/unlock. Read over on Maverick club that disconnecting battery will resolve. Haven’t had a chance.
