I have had Mr. Banks since September. Over the first 5,000 miles I got 30 MPG overall consistently. Three weeks ago I did a system update and my mileage has dropped to between 26 and 27 MPG. At the same time, the Auto start/stop has disabled itself.

At first I thought it was the cold weather, but the last few days it's over 32 degrees and even fully warmed up the start/stop doesn't activate. I was getting 30 MPG in these temps in November, December and half of January. now 26.7.

IS anyone else seeing a mileage drop with he last update? Should I try to redo the update?

Thanks

I believe auto start/stop functions based on engine oil pressure. If the pressure is too low it won't stop the motor.

I have a BL and have noticed the auto start/stop barely engages when it's cold out. I haven't updated my car since the fall.

There's a whole host of parameters that must be met for Auto Stop/Start. Maybe take a look at the list below and see if anything is apparent:

I suppose it's possible one of the parameters got changed during an update.

Three weeks ago I did a system update...
Can you be more specific? As far as I know the only system software owners can update themselves is for the Sync 3 infotainment system. This system has nothing whatsoever to do with engine/transmission function.

I’m sorry but there’s no way you’re consistently getting 30 miles per gallon unless you’re doing nothing but highway driving.

Well. My OB consistently gets 31 mpg. I avoid highways. Drive mostly in normal.

My 2.0L gets about 25 on regular on the highway. I tried premium for a tank and got 27.

I get 22… 23 if I’m lucky. And i don’t drive lead footish. Maybe something is wrong
Which mode are you driving in? I drive in eco, mostly highway and am staying at a consistent 31.8mph. Trying to push to 32 but no luck.

Winter fuel formulas have less BTU per gallon. A percentage is anti freeze additives. Gotta take something out of a gallon to put something in.
And I still call Bullshit on 2.0’s getting 30 plus mpg’s in real world driving.
I’m sure it can be done if someone is pussyfooting around. But in traffic you’d piss off everyone else.
I know how I can show 30 plus mpg I’ve done it.
Reset the meter after you get up to 65 mph and go down a level road without traffic or lights for 30 miles…… or even three.
Now re check the mpg the old fashion proper way and you’ll see how far off that dashboard mpg calculation is.
