Rear seat tilt?

We just took delivery of our 2022 BS BL, and love it. Except that when we test rode in a BS 1st Edition in '21 we were under the impression that the rear seat had a tilt adjustment. Since we ordered when availabilty on dealer lots was nearly zero, we thought that feature was in BS BL's but didn't have one to verify its' presence. To be fair we didn't verify the tilt in the 1st edition, but took the salespersons word. Was an incline actualy on early models? If it was when was it deleted?

Maybe they confused your question to mean that the seats fold down.

Not sure how you can get tilt from seats that meant to fold forward. Tilt would require space between the rear seat and cargo floor, yet when folding the rear seat forward, you wouldn't want a space when loading the back.

The 2020+ Ford Escape is the only small SUV I know of with adjustable rear seats. It's a great feature. I just wish the Bronco Sport had it.

My Acura has rear reclining seats and they also fold flat. Plus had big cargo area under rear deck. The BS doesn’t have that option

Many small suv's / crossovers have a few degrees of tilt to make the rear more comfortable for passengers on long rides. To be clear, I'm not talking about fully reclining--more like in the range of 4° . For example, our 2016 Subaru Forester Ltd has the feature. And I'd point out that the fullsize Bronco's do too.

I had a 2016 Forester and I honestly can’t recall if the seats reclined. However, the Escape’s rear seat also slide forward and back. Very rare feature for the segment.

Our daughter's 2018 Subaru Forester has a tilt/recline angle in the back seats. A very nice feature.
