Don’t understand why BS owners, as a whole, seem to be all over the map with regard to MPG. I don’t drive particularly aggressively but I don’t try and hyper-mile the thing either (if that’s even possible ?).

totally get it if it’s the 2.0 motor but even the 1.5’s seem to be all over the lot with mileage.
Higher altitudes will see better fuel economy. These are boxy cars that are sensitive to drag. There’s less drag at altitude.

I hunt and camp out of mine. I just got back from a 1000 mile road trip to lake Powell with an average of 31.5 mpg (not checked with a calculator). Overall average is closer to 28 mpg. The roof box in my avatar drops the mileage to around 24 mpg. My 4'x7' trailer with a cap on it drops it to 20 or 22 mpg. I bought an ATV cargo carrier from Harbor Freight for the back to carry gas cans and propane. It doesn't seem to affect mileage. When I sleep in it, I push the passenger seat forward and sleep diagonally. I normally drive in ECO mode and notice I drive more carefully when I can see my gas mileage in real time.

Nice Pronghorn. I get them in my backyard every now and then.

Thanks for all the input, it looks like it would work OK for me although I might need to add a couple things like a rear tire carrier/gas can.
