You have specs on how many Amps the Raptor Lights draw?
one of the 4 Aux switches is 30A but the feed wire you tap into is fairly small gauge (22ga I recall) but probably is ok to run short distance from where Ford hides the wire to your raptor lights but you still need a relay and tap into a circuit powered when ignition is on to use as the signal for the relay since you want those raptor lights on when ignition is on
the aux switch also allows you to turn the raptor lights off even when the vehicle is running
doing it like above or similar is cleaner and better than trying to tap into a headlamp wire (which doesn’t work as you already found out)
