I noticed the skid plate has a bit of a gap between the undercarriage and the plate itself. Has anyone taken it off-road through mud or leaves with the skid plate installed? Genuinely curious if a bunch of debris gets caught in there.

To all that have this installed,
I would love to know how hard it is to clean out (between the plate and the bumper).

Was thinking same thing. But more snow/ice freezing in there.

Couple questions on the Rally skid plate for a BL:

Does the plate need to be removed for an oil change?

Silver or Black? Not sure if black will show a lot more dings, chips, etc.

Opinions from other BL owners who have this plate?

Thanks. I used to have the dealer remove mine on my FJ to do an oil change. Not sure how flexible Ford is.

Assume if debris gets between the plate and the bumper it will mark up the bumper in case I decide to remove it at some point?

Looks like a nice piece. Torn on whether I really need it and understand why they left the front open since there really is no where to secure it.

If you do that it to the dealer for oil change with skidplate on they will have to be careful not to loose the spacers on it.

It might be able to get closer to the bumper with smaller spacers
