If you have moon roof check that for clogs before the rainy season as well. I've come out to a car with a ton of water inside from that.
Sorry you've had that experience.
I do not have a sunroof/moonroof, but I am wondering about my windows too, because the dealership said it looked as though there had been water down through the door. Not sure what happened before I owned it though either... I'm still definitely keeping an eye on anything and everything, and nothing is off the table until I know for sure it's 100% fixed! Thanks for the suggestion!! Everything is welcome!!!

My wife had '85 Mustang bad water leak when new. It turned out to be missing body sealer on firewall. We pulled the front seat and other trim pulled carpet up and put heater in there to dry it out. Most vehicle carpet has pad under it and it not gonna dry unless its pulled up so all the moisture can get out.
Oh how awful! Yes... I was thinking about this, but am wondering if I can take that task on by myself. Oil changes, alternator swaps, serpentine belts, yes, but taking seats out and putting back in... No idea!! I've certainly never had to even think about this before...

Did the dealer refuse to do anything? Another dealer around?
If you do the items you listed, seat removal should not be a problem. (disclaimer - My BS is not due till the end of month so don't know for sure - BUT I removed/replaced the seats in my 14 Mustang without any issues) Usually 4 bolts & one or two wire connectors for seat motors & air bags & they should lift right out. Be warned they are usually heavy. In my Mustang it helped to have the seats in near the middle of the fore/aft movement. If the material between the mats & metal floor has been wet, removal and dry/replace is likely the only way to get rid of potential mildew.
Are you not still under warranty? Once you start seat removal & such, it will then be on your dime.
Good luck.

I’m completely under warranty. That’s what’s making it so frustrating. It only has a little more than 5K miles and I’ve had it since mid March 2021. They acted like it wasn’t a big deal but my floor after a full work week is still wet. No other dealers except where I bought it (mistakenly and sadly) about an hour away or Malloy which is usually the worst around.

***New Update*** (February 22, 2022)
So what they originally thought was some leaves in around my cowl drain causing the issue, turned out not to be the problem. Though they still can't figure out where all the water is coming in, they are now resealing my entire vehicle and replacing my molded carpet. The amount of water that has continued to saturate my driver's side floorboard is unbelievable! The mold is so bad in my carpet now that you can smell it as soon as you open the door (so imagine what it’s like being inside with the doors closed). Just turning over 6K miles, hopefully the work they are putting into this will fix the issue for good. This is a lot to go through for a vehicle that's hardly driven. If they find an exact culprit while everything is torn out of my truck, I'll be sure to post it!! Thanks again to everyone that contributed their thoughts; I really appreciated your time!!

At the dealership now... but wanted to see if anyone has experienced water leaking into the cabin when it rains?

I'm noticing a small puddle on the passenger side floor every time it rains. I tried to convince myself it was just water from shoes, but it's definitely a leak from somewhere. Thank goodness for the BL's rubber floors and keeping my carpet mats out. I can't see a drip from anywhere, and the dealership hasn't seen this issue yet (to be fair, I'm in a town of 8000 people, so not a ton of BS around).

Anyone on here know where it could be coming from?
Hi there! Are you still experiencing this issue with your Bronco? If so, please send us a message with your VIN and dealership name and location. I'd like to look into this concern.

***Update (February 25, 2022)***
I just received a call letting me know that the dealership found where my truck was leaking. They said the firewall had been tack welded but never finished. They have sealed this now and are still waiting on a few backordered items to replace my carpet. They said this is a very common issue, so please have your dealership look here if they can't find or see a leak. I should be getting it back sometime in the next week.

My wife had '85 mustang brand new with huge water leak. It was a section on firewall where Seam Sealer between two metal panels was missing. After sealer was added to seal gap never leaked again.

**Update March 11**
I heard from the service department again and they've now found that my windshield is leaking too. They have called in a windshield company to come on Monday and take out and reseal my windshield. They still haven't checked out the electronics because the entire inside of my vehicle is torn out. They said once the windshield is fixed they should be able to replace the carpet, and once all of that is back together they will be able to check the electronics. The service department seems to be doing everything they can this time, but safety is still a concern for me. I've also contacted Ford, and they want nothing to do with my vehicle and didn't help at all.

EastCoast- How's your venture going? Has everything been fixed yet?

I'm happy that they're doing something about it this time!! I wasn't alive during the Pinto controversy days, but I'm sad that Ford's attitude toward safety doesn't seem to have changed much...

Our winter has been cold and not too wet, so I actually haven't seen any leaking for a few months. I decided to hold off on having them tear my car apart and see if it continues to leak this spring. I'll keep you posted once we get into rainy season in the next month or two!

**Next Update........**
So They had my truck for a full month and one day. They replaced all of the carpet to get rid of the mold, they "sealed" my firewall, and then found a leak in the windshield too. They called in a company to reseal the windshield. I just got it back March 23rd (it went in on February 21). Now with broken molding pieces from ripping all of the insides out. The morning I went to pick it up, before I left, I had warning lights and messages flashing at me with a wrench light lit up. They took it back in the shop immediately and said it was a known issue and they just had to reprogram whatever this was. This past week, it started happening again and randomly so I was told to take it back in over this past weekend. I did, and the tech said he had to reconfigure the reprogramming that had just taken place. He drove it around after the reconfiguring, and as soon as he got back to the shop, it started the warnings and things all over again. I've now been told that they need to set up and appointment for me to bring it back and leave it with their transmission guy. It's pretty bad that I bought this truck so it would be more reliable and now I can't sell my old car because it's more reliable.
I contacted Ford on here, and she just wrote me off and told me to speak with my service department.

It sounds to me like you have an excellent Lemon Law claim. Have you checked the laws in your State?

Interesting. I just stumbled across this because I was searching for answers after I had water coming in under the glove box after running it through the car wash today.

I did not notice this before but had noticed the floor mat was wet at points when it shouldn't have been (ie no one else had been in the passenger side recently). There better be a fix for this problem...the dealer said my chattering/loud transmission wasn't an issue.

The transmission thing, the brakes recall, now the new injector block recall, water leaking inside....a lot of problems for a vehicle with 11k miles on it. Kind of wishing I had just got another Honda.

I got my Bronco before they jacked the price up but miss my Toyota all the time so I get how you’re feeling. Have the service department check the firewall to make sure it’s sealed. I know my dog used to freak out and get super anxious as soon as she would get in the truck before they sealed the firewall so it’s possible you’re getting fumes from the engine too. Then have them check the seal on the windshield. Mine would only let a droplet of water randomly inside but if you don’t get this stuff fixed it will mold everything. Good luck and I hope you find your fix!!
